I would be really surprised if Wolverine wasn't in this movie. As for the actual roster, everyone here is assuming it will be the original team but I think it will be a mix of the original team and the Uncanny X-Force team. I think Jeff Wadlow has said there will be five members so here is the roster I would like to see:
Wolverine
Cable
Deadpool
Psylocke
Archangel
As for actors obviously Hugh Jackman would be Wolverine. I don't want Ryan Reynolds to be Deadpool as I think that was one of the most cliche castings in years. It was obvious the studio said "Deadpool is a funny character, Ryan Reynolds is a popular funny actor, perfect" without actually considering that Deadpool has a completely different comedy style to the one that Reynolds portrayed in Origins. Anyway, I would hope that they get Ben Foster back and make him Archangel since he is a good actor but didn't really get to do much in X3. The rest of the characters I mentioned you all seem to have a lot of good ideas about casting so I'm not going to touch it.

Wolverine wopuld be a good cameo but I definitely don't want him to be a main character in the 1st film. This needs to set its stall out as something different to the regular X-films & if he's in, the audience attention will go to him rather than the new guys. He does fit the team though so I don't mind seeing him become a main character in a later film.

The fact that RR might be clichéd casting doesn't make it bad casting. RR has already proved that he can play a great WW, so let him do that in an entire movie, not ten minutes.

I don't think this movie should even really touch Remender's Uncanny.
There's way too much ground work and continuity that needs to be laid for his run to work.

I'm fine with throwing DP, Psylocke, or Fantomex in, since none of those characters have had their chance on screen yet.
But Wolverine and Archangel should not be anywhere near this movie.

Throw those three alongside Cable, Domino, and Cannonball, and I'd be all over it

But he wasn't a good Wade Wilson though, that was my point. It's a huge misunderstanding of the character to think Ryan Reynolds dry sarcastic humour is what Wade is supposed to be.

well, that's all on the writer too

Remender and Kelly had him as fairly sarcastic with a little zaniness, but also real pathos underneath it all
Way on the other hand turns him into a d**k and fart joke generator

Personally, I preferred RR's sense of humor as Wade in Origins to either Way's or the current writers' takes

As far as an accurate adaption it's literally impossible. Just not gonna happen. But there are tons of good things to grab from that book. I'd rather see a Remender Deadpool with some dpeth on screen for instance. Depending on the characters they use they are better off taking alot of things from that run. Strongest stuff out there for X-Force. Wadlow has been saying hes a huge fan of UXF and he thinks its the best Marvel book, so theres likely gonna be a few things taken from there.

RR's WW reminded me much more of old-school Deapool, and UXF WW as well. I much prefer that version to Daniel Way's obnoxious douche.

I sure hope they DO NOT recast Angel. Ben Foster is a great actor and it would be neat to have him return in a good role. Plus it would ruin continuity. He was Warren Worthington, no other way around it. Bill Duke Trask could have been someone other than Bolivar. Emma "Silverfox" could be a clone or something. But there's no going around this one. X3 is a small introduction to Angel, this movie should be a movie where he has a decent role. And continue into AoA...

It's weird, X3 hyped up Angel a lot (he's on the poster, in the tv spots, etc). He even got his own opening scene like Rogue and Magneto got in the other movies. But then they didn't do anything with him (unlike Rogue/Magneto in the other two), it was such a waste. I'd rather see Angel on the main X-Men team myself, he fits better there imo.

They could always bring him back and redeem his legacy in the movies.

I think the actress who portrayed Faora in Man of Steel, Antje Traue, would be a good Domino.

That actress looks like a man.

No for Stevenson as Cable. He was Punisher, and now is Volstagg.

i love your pics for this movie, and Rooney Mara looks like Domino in that pic, thery must hire her for that role its perfect. Lol though Keira knightley was in a movie called Domino and she was pretty badass but absolutely not for Domino for this movie.

Since we know the heroes by now, I'd say

Dolph Lundgren - Cable
Mei Melancolan - Psylocke
Maggie Grace - Domino
Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool
Daniel Cudmore - Colossus

And yes, that is three actors returning. It adds consistency. I'd still rather see Colossus be replaced by somebody who hasn't been in the movies yet and has a bit more history with the team like Rictor, Siryn, X-23 or Elixer but he's not a bad character.

Now as for the villain, I'm guessing it'll be Stryfe or Selene. If it's Stryfe, keep it Dolph Lundgren. If it's Selene, then it gets a bit more complicated. I personally feel that Selene should be somebody who's a bit older. Michelle Yeoh, Kate Beckinsdale, Sigourney Weaver or Carrie Anne Moss would be great for the role since Selene needs to be somebody who commands respect and as a result can't be too young, anyone younger than 40 is too young IMO.

Actually, when it comes to Domino, Jena Malone or Gina Carano could also play the part well.

I'm 90% sure Colossus will not be in it. Its' said to be Mutants who have not been to the Mansion And a mix of 90s X-Force and Uncanny X-Force. Colossus does not fit either of those.

Yukio (Fukishima)
Archangel or Angel (Ben Foster)
Psylocke or Domino (?)
