Ok... second page...

PLEASE READ COMMENTS ON FIRST PAGE...

It's been brought to my attention that BOTH of last year's finalists are banned and should be kicked out of the League as it does not represent a "true" SHHype league.

I want to hear arguments from everybody of possible.

Thanks.

My input means nothing since I'm not a part of it (though I am a former player)... but I think the hype league should be for the hype members. Especially since there's a waiting list of people wanting in. As much as we might like those who were banned, it was their choice to do whatever it was that led to their banning. It's their fault, not yours.

Letting them in is a sure fire way to make them stop bugging you.

I'm going to wait until after next weekend to make any decisions as well as giving the 2 remaining managers a chances to re-enter... so I will be looking for 2 to 4 new players at best... Hush & Donut will be invited unless more senior Hypesters want to join.

I don't have commitment issues. I have stuff

Seriously, I'm in a constant tizzy over my book writing. I can't so much as sit down to read a comic or watch my favorite show Big Brother without feeling guilt-ridden and angry because I'm not doing edits, or writing something, or researching something, etc. My wife gets so angry at me because I can't find enjoyment in anything due to my writings (which I love, but it's a massive headache). My writing goal should be reached sometime late next year, then I should be able to relax a bit. Until then I keep everything else on a tight leash. I run a friends and family Fantasy Football League (and I'm about to hand that off to someone else) and I read my comics. I watch Walking Dead in the fall and Big Brother in the summer (and So You Think You Can Dance when I can fit it in)... and seriously... that's it. That's ALL I do outside of writing, work, and family (and I don't do near enough with family).

And if you're talking about my comic book dropping habit... that's not commitment issues... that's financial issues. Big difference!

Me joining the SHHFFL would pretty much equal my head exploding. I love games, just not ones that take up more than a few minutes a week. Plus, I don't like how many teams we have in this league. I prefer closer to 10 or 12.

Here is a suggestion, we should have 2 seperate leagues a Premier league for longtime members and a 2nd league where all the banned members and newcomers can join, the winner of that league can move up 2 the ''premier league'' the following season.

But from the general consensus thus far, the banned members are not welcomed in the Premiere League... plus I don't have the strength to run two leagues...

sorry i was out of state but i'm in it now. i'm so sorry to see Daisy go.

as for the banned members, i don't really care. granted it's more fun when everyone can participate in here, but since alex won last season i think he should at least have a chance to defend his title

I agree with CC. Let Alex defend his title. If he wins it again, let him stay. If he loses, then he's gone.

I think with that, you run the risk of banned members ****ing with the league. Say Alex goes off to an 0-5 start. He will realize he has no chance of winning and is resultantly out of the league. He may quit participating (dead weight sucks) or worse, do something smart ass like start dropping star players (which can just throw off the balance of the league as a whole). I think we should either keep or drop banned members. Not say, "You're most likely done next year BUT we'll keep you around for now." That is unfair to all parties involved.

They could, but the nonbanned members still have incentive to play as they will be back next year. The banned members know if they do not win it all, they are gone. They have no incentive to continue playing. Like I said, I think it is unfair to both sides to say, "win the championship or you're done." It is pussy footing around the decision.

The man speaks sense.

To solve the problem, why don't those of you who are still close with the banned members start a separate league? There could be a Hype league (which, let's face it, is a no brainer that it should be for hype members) and then just an online friends league.
