Stannis doesn't have a son.

Unless you mean the actor who played teenaged Tom Riddle in Half-Blood Prince IS the son of Stephen Dillane, who plays Stannis.

Roger Ashton-Griffiths has been cast for the role of Mace Tyrell.

I've seen a few of the movies in his resume but nothing about him stood out but this seems like a good casting regardless.

Rewatching season 3. One thought occurs to me, Nikolaj has got himself an Emmy here. "By what right does the wolf judge the lion? BY WHAT RIGHT?!" He's got this. Like, seriously. I'll be utterly flabbergasted if he doesn't get one. It's a ****ing travesty if he doesn't

Michelle Fairley wasn't nominated and Emilia Clarke (as much as I love her) was, so the travesties have already begun.

Michelle Fairley had two scenes--her monologue about how she couldn't love baby Jon Snow, and the Red Wedding--that were practically tailor-made for Emmy consideration.

Smh.

What all did this show win in season 2? Seriously, if Nikolaj doesn't get an Emmy ifs just, I mean.... I can't even find the words now for real. He deserves it more now than Dinklage ever has

Or wait, they haven't even done it for season 2 yet. Have they? I can't remember at all.

It won a bunch for things like costuming, sound editing and special effects. None of the actors garnered anything for season 2, and it didn't win best drama.

I thought she was kind of bad in the Red Wedding. Very hammy, and I couldn't help but laugh at her stupid "howl" or whatever that was.

yes, it is great acting. I don't know does she deserves to win since out of all the nominated in that category I don't watch any of their shows. except for GOT, but Emilia's acting is just awful and I'm still waiting for someone from the academy to come out and say her nomination is a prank

I thought it was good acting as well. I can't say it's the best acting in the category because I haven't seen the nominees, but worthy of consideration at least.

I think her acting is good in general, but than scene in particular, she just felt very over the top to me.

"ON MY HONOR AS A STARK, ON MY SOMETHING OF SOMETHING, BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL, LET HIM GO."

And of course who could forget the classic line, "UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." , she delivered with an emotionless expression even more blank than this guy: .

Your first point - take it up with the writers

Your second - her blank expression at the end was intentional

Of course it was over the top. She's a Mother who lost her husband (and thinks she lost her other two sons), is separated from her daughters, and she has just watched what she thinks is her last remaining son murdered before her eyes.

It SHOULD be over the top. Anyone else would "over the top" in that scenario. I know I would.

And the blank face completely fit the scene. And actually is very realistic in accordance with how people react to extremely traumatizing events. After an initial burst of emotion, people usually go into shock. Cat had nothing left after that moment, she was completely broken. It fit perfectly.

Three. Don't forget the scene with Blackfish in Riverrun where she was crying about how she'll never see Bran and Rickon again.
