You read from top to bottom, so you are seeing Batman iconography but are reading an upside down Superman and with the Superman iconography you are reading an upside down Batman.

Good job there!

I like the fact that Superman's right in front, yet Batman gets to photobomb the whole thing.

Here's my take on a new batsuit:

FULL SIZE HERE: http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/7999/7m2e.jpg

I tried to give the Arkham Origins suit I used as a base a more "fabric feel" while still looking protective and durable. I also like the idea of a grey batsuit to distance the new series from the Nolan trilogy. I kept the cape from Batman Begins though because I think it looked great (and I just hate the leather/rubber combo you seem to see everywhere these days). I decided to add lenses to the cowl very late in the process, you can think of it as a removable device (because I don't like the idea of fixed lenses).

Perfect job. Looks flexible, but tough. Cloth-based, but not cheap looking. The colors are also faithful to the comics.

I just couldn't resist lengthening the ears and adding facial hair

Thanks buddy

I gave the long ears a good matter of thoughts. But its just not working in real life. I have a pretty good experience with bat cowls actually and the problem with long ears is that if you make the mask out of urethane rubber (and honestly maybe I'm not thinking enough out of the box but there's really no other way to make one that would be both safe for the actor and good looking on screen), you can either fill them during the casting process (and the cowl would then be almost impossible to wear properly with the added weight, needless to say that you would move in it like a zombie) or leave them hollow (and then whenever the actor moves the ears will wobble like crazy).

As much as I like the bat silhouette with the long ears, I think that's something we won't see on screen (unless they go for CGI ears, or some very complexe engineering in the cowl).

It definitely isn't. I like to keep things practical I mean one of the reasons why Ryan Reynolds didn't quite work as Hal Jordan/GL has IMHO necessarily something to do with the fact that he never actually wore the uniform.

Not strictly related to Batman vs. Superman, but couldn't resist posting for the philosophy buffs out there. From Jose Quintero's Allegorical Superheroes series, I give you Friedrich Nietzsche's Übermensch vs. Superman:

Batman/Superman, Henry Cavill As Superman

http://imageshack.us/a/img826/5804/ljhc.jpg

This is the second "redesign" for my upcoming Batman/Superman artwork.
In this piece I mainly focused on the shield, using some earlier designs by Peter Rubin, mostly because I truly enjoy how the super suit turned out in Man Of Steel. I picked a design based on the Fleisher cartoons thinking of how Superman's suit should work in another environment and next to Batman's but I also tried to put the emphasis on the aftermath of the "fight for Metropolis". And the shield's new colors outline his mourning of the losses during the battle.
