Yeah, cigarettes.
Speaking of green stuff and also back on topic, I really think that Lea Seydoux would make a great Poison Ivy.

Léa is too young for the role, I think Ivy needs a more aged actress, like Jessica Chastain or Marie-Josée Croze (my favourites).

No offense but i think all of your suggestions, that ive seen so far, are way too young for these characters within this universe. Batman is into his 40s and has probably met all of them at least once. If not all of them, then 90 percent. They need to be and look in their 30s, 40s and even older if you want to get into Penguin or Strange.

I do appreciate all the suggestions though, dont get me wrong. We need new faces in these threads for discussion. But it's not going to work to have a 20 something Ivy or a 40 something Gordon or a 20 something or even early 30s Joker. They need to be much older. Much older also means bigger names most of the time.

So for Ivy, i think Christina Hendricks would be a better choice.

None taken. A lot of my other suggestions are older though (Joaquim is the same age as Ben, Richard Gere and Rush, not my idea, are old dudes etc...) Anyway thanks for the feedback.
Oh and Ivy she just looks young, thanks to all that herbal moisturizing cream she uses

Hendricks almost suffers from the "too obvious" syndrome. She'd still be awesome, though.

My choice is Gemma Arterton: reasons here.

I love this idea the more i see it. Gemma is also a very good choice. But i dont see WB/Affleck going with Ivy when you have the option of Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Freeze.

I would choose Joaquin for Black Mask or Riddler though before Joker. But good idea nonetheless, great actor.

I love your Buscemi for Ventriloquist idea. I think he may suit Joker or Mad Hatter too actually. I would probably choose Toby Jones or Philip Seymour Hoffman for Penguin, even though i would have went with David Suchet if it was 10 years ago. Toby is also good for Ventriloquist.

Not a fan of Richard Gere at all so ill pass on that. Cranston, Hanks or Russell for Gordon.

If we're going older, and in the spirit of throwing different names in the hat for fun, how about these? (A lot of Brits I know, but you can't go wrong with British Thespians)

Hugh Grant as Black Mask

Steve Coogan as The Riddler

Robert DeNiro as Gordon

Michael Palin as Alfred

Bill Nighy as Mr Freeze

And really "left field" Jim Carrey as Hugo Strange (he might be crazy enough to pull it off)

Charlize Theron as Catwoman

I promise I'll try to do better next time I'm not trying to say it's the definitive list like you mybe with your choices, just having fun with names that I haven't heard a thousand times before, so you'll be happy to know that I will probably come up with another list later on. I hope it's ok with you lol

Not a big fan of any of those either, except Freeze (good one), the only original choice I haven't heard mentioned many times before unlike the others. Actually I like Rickman too, he would be great in almost any role.
Dafoe (just like James Woods or Christopher Walken) would have been good in B89.
Of course I'd be happy if Cranston did it but I'm a little tired of hearing his name and Gordon's mentioned together all the time lol. I'm glad you incorporated my idea for Selina though. And rejoice because I might come up with another list at some point if I have time

I have a feeling we're going to be seeing Sharlto Copley as the Riddler. I saw him in the OldBoy remake last night and just something about the games he's playing, it just made me think of what he can do as Nygma. He's probably high on director's lists right now too.

Interesting, Copley would probably make a great Riddler.

I would still love to see Christopher Eccleston's Joker. He was one of my favorites for the role prior after BB.

Whatever happened to Pieeye, who did that manip? He used to be a regular here.

I'd prefer him for Joker, but I'm not going to argue against him for Riddler.

He was pretty bland and generic in Thor:TDW. You need someone more unpredictable and charismatic for the role imo, but to each its own.
