WB is scrambling. Just give us a damn title already, and a production date. It's that simple

Public Enemies would make far more sense than World's Finest. Sounds cooler too.

That BOF podcast El Mayimbe did my head in. His reasons for Batman been able to beat Superman was that he had him on the ropes in the Dark Knight Returns. One story by one writer, that could have been written so different with Superman crushing Batman like a bug yet he fails to see that its a comic story. Also he has a bad memory cause Batman had help, Superman was holding back etc. The guys an idiot.

Edit: on the title they can't simply go Public Enemies as it was only a few years back we had a film called that with Depp & Bale. They'd have to call it Superman Batman Public Enemies and even then it needs to match the story.

Given how poorly that film did I don't think anyone is going to remember it was even released. How many people are honestly going to say 'Hey, that was the title of a movie 6 years ago!', and even if they do, so what? Titles get reused all the time. Edit - I just found out Public Enemies did far better than I thought it did commercially, that said I'm doubtful people are going to confuse the two. Honestly, I think that title is too good to pass up, it bypasses the whole Batman vs Superman title awkwardness yet instills the same 'vs' aspect. If it's suppose to be a genuine MoS sequel then call it Superman: Public Enemies. But I like just Public Enemies, all you need is the combo logo behind it. It's simple and yet conveys the battle these two will have. I like it.

But Public Enemies is a title that refers to the two characters been enemies to the public where in this it seems that its Superman and Batman that are at odds with one another.

Also I know titles get reused all the time but not that quickly after the other ones been out.

Well, not to get like technical or anything but don't you think two people being at odds with one and other can constitute them being enemies, even if it's just a perception? Two people being at odds with one and other in a very public display - that kinda sounds like Public Enemies to me. And as for titles being reused so soon - when's the date for reuse? 2 years? 5 years? 10? 20? I fail to see anything preventing that title being used, especially when most people won't be aware of the Depp/Bale film of the same name.

Agree with this. Despite my loathing of colons in titles, I would find Superman, Batman: Public Enemies acceptable, too.

It connotes something much more exciting than World's Finest which is an empty sounding boast that could equally be used of dishwasher tablets.

The term public enemy is typically given to a criminal or someone who is a huge threat. Unless they were incriminated in some way for the movie, I don't see it as a fitting title. Sounds cool, though.

Superman knocked over a city, and the military were trying to spy on him. The relationship with authority there is so far uneasy, and Lex Luthor could easily make it worse.

Batman always has an ambiguous relationship with the law.

At least that will give the writers time to create a quality script

Or maybe something like Public Enemies: Superman and Batman. Just spit balling. The word you've used to describe World Finest is perfect - empty. It's this hollow sounding phrase which doesn't come across as cool nor is it really descriptive of anything in particular. Fans have just accepted it because frankly that's all pairing Superman and Batman up has always been referred to in spite of the fact it's never really been a nickname for the two of them. I'm actually confused as to why people are so attached to the title when it's just so....empty. Nostalgia reasons perhaps? I have trouble believing most fans actually love that title. Or are they just simply suggesting it because that's all it's ever been known as. I dunno know.

My issue with the Public Enemies title is just that there's the Depp/Bale movie of the same name from not too long ago. I do like the ambiguity of it because it could refer to them being considered enemies by society or them being enemies with each other or both.

Adding the Superman/Batman to the front of it could work, but idk. I really dislike colons in titles too. But it might be the only option here.

The title of this is tough. Superman vs Batman or Superman and Batman isn't that good of a title... And World's Finest is a STUPID name. It's cheesy as hell.

Public Enemies works. If the words Public Enemies is written on the Superman/Batman symbol, people will assume its called Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

**** I forgot that name is taken by the animated DTV. Hmm.. I have no idea what this should be called

Yeah, that guy may get some scoops but I'm not too confident in his comics knowledge. I wanted to smash my iPhone every time he called Superman "Ky-El"

It would be funny if Bale came back and it was called Public Enemies, since... he's already been in a movie called Public Enemies.

I don't think Snyder is necessarily looking at World's Finest and Public Enemies as inspiration for the title...but for story content.

Still, it wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being called World's Finest.

One just caused an alien invasion, the other is likely scaring the hell out of people in Gotham.... Public Enemies would fit exactly.
