Pierce Brosnan probably thinks he could play Batman, and would likely find the offer of Alfred an insult. And Malcolm McDowell just turned 70 and is looking pretty fragile these days, IMHO.

I actually kinda love the Pierce Brosnan suggestion. Hunky Alfred!

I may be the only one with this opinion but i'm just gonna throw it out there : Peter Capaldi.

also I've been behind casting rickman as Alfred from day one, and Malcolm McDowell is a genius choice as well.

If it was Peter Capaldi that was chosen, the role would require A LOT of swearing. A LOT.

Jonathan Pryce is 66

But he looks way older. And that means he can easily pass for ancient for an older Batman. He has less chance of popping his clogs than most other suggestions

Next you know he'll be trying to find the Batmoblie, shouting out "WHERE THE **** IS IT??!!" in full Malcolm Tucker mode. He'll probably do it when looking for his TARDIS.

I'll only accept Mcdowell is if he makes bloopers. I just watched the Halloween bloopers, and I've pissed myself laughing at him

There was a cool fan made SM/BM trailer on youtube that had Jeremy Irons as Alfred. He would be a good choice.

He's hilarious! That's another reason why I want him.

I find it funny that I was a big supporter of McDowell in 2011 and 2012 and people didn't like it, now everyone loves the idea!! . Grrrrrrr you guys lol.

I think lately he's been doing more theatre work than film. Might be wrong.

First I've heard about Dalton as Alfred. That would be epic.

I want me some snarky uptight Alfred this time. Alan Rickman fits that perfectly. He's gotta rock the stache too; we've yet to see mustached Alfred in live action.

The B66 Alfred was mustached. Unless you mean on the silver screen.
