She was not in love with Logan. I'm sorry, but their is no evidence of that in either X2 or X3. They had more of a friendship/mentor relationship. Rogue's actions in X3 show that her feeling for Bobby were real or else she wouldn't have gone to such extremes to keep him.

Well Jean says at the end of x1 that Rogue is taken with wolverine, I think it is more of a you saved my life and are the same loner I feel like and so they always have that bond, I think by x3 when he talks to her about going for the cure it feels more close connection type of thing than a love thing

TRUTH RIGHT HERE.

Rogue's connection with Wolverine is also through their touch. Wolverine brought her back to life and she's absorbed so much of him that their bond goes deeper than any other mutant Rogue has shared with . Possibly Magneto but since she had no attraction to Erik for obvious reasons.

I think Rogue saving Wolverine in DOFP would be fitting and I can see this becoming full circle for those two characters.

I have to agree with Illuminata. For anybody to tell me there was nothing going on with Rogue and Logan is crazy to me. There was alot going on between these to. Love and sexual attraction was there. It was never spoken or acted on but it was there. Logan definitely had feelings for her. I mean if a man is willing to sacrifice himself for somebody he barely knows, something is definitely going on. I mean he did it for Jean in the last movie, but I do believe he was confused about his feelings. He lusted for Jean and thought that was love, but he loved Rogue, even though he never said it. He couldn't act on his feelings for Rogue, because he couldn't touch her, the way he wanted, but in X2, he looks surprised that Rogue and Bobby are a couple and he even asked, how do you two, and they said they were working it out. Like he wanted to know. I'm not saying that he was head over heels in love with Rogue, but he definitely had feelings for her and vice versa. Oh and he didn't have a father and daughter bond with her. Get real. Hell he even told her I'm not your father I'm your friend. Made her smile ear to ear. I'm not saying they are going to hook up either, I'm just saying I hope they have a scene that finally acknowledges that something was between them, that wasn't spoken.

Rogue had feelings for him. Rogue had a crush on him. Logan doesn't think of her that way, Logan feels a sense of responsibility for her, bringing her into this 'mess.'

The convo between Logan and Jean at the end of the first X-men movie says it all.

Care to explain what Wolverine ever mentored Rogue on?

Wolverine had nothing to ever mentor anyone on anything. If anything Bobby had more seniority with being at the institute longer than Logan and became a teacher at the end. Whereas Logan wasn't still considered a teacher.

Add to that Wolverine officially joined the X-Men at the end of X2 and still never worked with the team on assignments. If anything HE should have been in the class under Storm not leading it.

I have to admit this is so true. Logan does feel a tremendous amount of responsibility for all the mess that happened at the Institute.

That conversation is much of a mess as the comicbook version which never made any sense. Logan spent more time with Rogue than Jean. In fact he didn't even know anything about Jean to really be "in love" with her. They never shared any intimacy or bond that's why it's always been hard for me to get behind their relationship.

Doesn't help that the chemistry between Hugh and Famke is so odd.

There were hints during X-Men and X2 Rogue has some feelings for wolverine

X-Men-Jean told him she thinks rogue is kinda taken with him

X2-She is more excited about seeing logan than hanging out with bobby.plus she is desperate to get Iceman to save Wolverine

It's very approate if reports are true to have her have to get wolverine back from past.

Okay, so I can't believe I'm about to do this, but here goes. I'm officially de-lurking to say that you can all count me in as one of the viewers who is anxiously awaiting some new scenes between Logan and Rogue.

Simply put, they're the reason I'm here. They're the ones who pulled me into this whole x-universe via the movies, and they are literally the ONLY reason I've been lurking around these boards since just before X3 came out. IMO, their relationship (platonic/romantic/whatever) is the heart of the series, whether it was intentional or not.

Really? Really? Because I certainly had a different viewing experience, and the first film I saw was X2. I went in completely cold, knowing nothing about the universe or the characters, and two scenes prompted me to ask my then boyfriend, who'd dragged me to the show, what the story was between Logan and Rogue.

The first scene was the one LR4Life mentioned, when Logan comes home. That whole scene where Rogue was introducing Bobby got the side-eye from me, because seriously, who asks the kind of personal question that Logan asked them? To me, it screamed jealous ex. Yes, I know now that I was wrong, but what was I supposed to think at the time? What kind of 'father figure' or brotherly type would feel so entitled to know exactly what's going on in her sex life? And then the look he gave them both when they said they were 'working on it'...LOL!

Then the second scene, where Rogue handed back the dogtags and Bobby gave them that weird look. I remember thinking then that I was definitely going to have to rent the first movie to find out what happened there.

I was so upset when they seemed to drop the whole thing in X3 in favour of the Logan/Jean thing, which, I'm sorry, still doesn't make any sense to me. But yay, we have DOFP now, and I for one can't wait to see the inevitable culmination of the Wolverine/Rogue relationship. And yes, it is inevitable that we will get scenes with them one way or another. We all know Wolvie is front and center once again, which means it only naturally follows that his character is going to carry a good chunk of the film's emotional weight. And with what other character on canvas does he share that emotional weight? Jean's gone. He has no loyalty to Kitty, Bobby or Storm that we've seen. He's always seemed somewhat benevolent about the professor. So that leaves...who?

Now of course, I'm not saying all of this is going to end in romance, and I know some of you are saying there won't even be any time for romance in this film, and I honestly feel they'll leave Rogue/Wolverine open to interpretation in the end anyway. But it's pretty much a given that Hugh, being the hunky male leading actor that he is, (and eating up most of the screen time to boot), is going to have some hint of a romantic subplot with someone. This is just the way Hollywood works. Seriously, try to think of ONE film you've seen in the last decade that didn't include at least a very minor romantic subplot. You can't. That's because even the hardest action films tell stories about humans, and falling in love is a human experience. Bobby/Kitty are cute, but unnecessary. Same goes with Hank/Raven. We're just not as invested in them, individually or as couples, as we are with Wolverine and Rogue - both individually and/or as a couple. The only other couple that showed promise were Jean and Scott, and they're both dead.

Of course, I also think it would be nice to see an independent Rogue, but why do being strong and being in love need to be mutually exclusive? I thought we were getting past these ideas about women...? (I really wish they would give the X-women the Battlestar Galactica treatment and allow them to be strong and vulnerable, but that's a whole other essay...)

And while I think it's a snowball's chance in hell, I'm totally with LR4Life that if there's ANY kissing action going on in this film, it should be between Rogue and Logan.

So the trailer cuts off, are we missing Mystique being dragged thru the ground by Fassbender?
Yeah, it look like a dark shadow in the room looming over both.

That's the main scene missing, I think? Most of the other scenes mentioned seem to be there.

Rogue also seems to have awesome long hair.

Rogue's not in love with Logan. She had a crush on him but she was also a blossoming teen who didn't know what feelings meant. I think by the end of X2 she was all about Iceman and in X3 she saw Logan as a father figure type.

Yes, really! Yes, really! (sorry couldn't resist ) but yeah I see those scenes as her still having a moderate crush but never really an overt sexual attraction as some here would have you believe. The scene that really showed the fatherly role parts stick out much more than the flirty ones.

Like when he is giving her a ride on his trailer and she asks if his claws hurt when they come out and he says "every time." I felt they bonded much more than just superficial romantic relationship in that scene.

Also their banter in the first movie is much more "Jubilee like" than sexual. Even in the comics there have been more sexual tension between them in a more overt way.

or when he saves her from Magnetos machine and thinks she's dead he embraces her like an older brother that lost his little sister not like a man who lost their lover.

My question to all those wanting a Rogue/Wolvie matchup is why can't two people of the opposite sex be friends on the deepest of levels without there having to be some romantic tone? They remind me more of the new Sherlock Holmes and Watson; they have a great friendship that is much more deep than most relationships.

True but he clearly didn't like it after the first kiss.

As I said before stay... forever!

But of course they can. In fact that's exactly what a lot of people want. Most importantly, we want it on screen, in DOFP! Like I said, I'll gladly take platonic/romantic/ambiguous/whatever any day. I'm not fussy Just give me Rogan!

Thanks for the warm welcome, btw

Sorry, I just didn't see it, if others did, that's fine. She may have had a slight crush on him in X1, but the X2 scene proves nothing except her being happy to see him. There is much more evidence of her being in love with Bobby. You're not going to convince me otherwise.

I don't want to see Wolverine and Rogue making out. He was her friend, not her lover.

There should be more. Hugh started filming on the Wednesday of the week Anna did. She was filming till the Friday. So they'll have more than one scene but I can't see them having loads if she doesn't come into the plot until he's in the past already.

Rogue did have a sexual crush on Wolverine. Her feelings for him were officially described as a crush. She was attracted to him but she wasn't in love with. For Logan it was a platonic/family type bond and not remotely romantic or sexual.

Rogue is very unlikely to still have any kind of crush or even attraction to Wolverine after 10 years, in which she may not have even seen him. He is far too old for her and she is untouchable. Romancing Logan will be the last thing on her mind. And it's never been on his. They are bound to still have a bond though as she owes him her life and she is the reason he found the X-Men.

There's no evidence she ever loved Bobby. She had a crush on Wolverine through most if not all of their romance which proves she didn't love him. And Rogue was never described as being in love with him by anyone official. Not even now are they described as being in love. Shawn just said relationship and not a word about either being in "love".

Confirmed by Shawn himself in interviews Bobby in X3 had an attraction to Kitty (blatant in the script with the deleted kiss). Which again proves Rogue/Bobby weren't actually in love. It was a teen relationship that was kept alive because wanting what you can't really have makes something more attractive. If they'd been some great romance they wouldn't have between them been attracted to other people through all three movies. And it appears like DOFP as well with the way he looks at Kitty.

That is why I hope any lingering feelings die once and for all in DOFP. They are a terrible excuse for a relationship. What they had was never built to be a great romance. Everyone is making far too much about both Iceman and Wolverine where she is concerned. Neither were as good or as emotionally big as some of you make out.

I'm so out of the loop on speculation. Is it true that Rogue will be a traveler as well to bring back Logan?

I thought I read somewhere that Logan had to be the traveler because he possessed the physical hardiness and endurance to be the traveler. While Kitty's power facilitates the time displacement, she does not possess this physical hardiness that Logan does and therefore cannot be the time traveler. In other words, if she had Logan's healing factor she could've been the traveler.

If Rogue is brought in to siphon Kitty's power, can't she also siphon some of Logan's power too and therefore become a traveler herself? I say this because whatever I had read placed the emphasis on Logan's physical power as the key to him being the traveler (as opposed to emphasizing the fact that he existed in both time periods). This tells me that having that power that is the key, and the other elements of time travel (besides Kitty's power, which is indispensable to the process) are secondary.

I still don't see how it's possible since this time displacement involves planting Logan's "old" mind in his "younger" body, and Rogue wasn't even born back then. But ... doesn't the fact that Rogue can siphon both Kitty and Logan open the door for her to go get Logan in the seventies?

I really hope so: the really touching connection (and onscreen chemistry) between Rogue/Anna and Logan/Hugh was something about X1 that made it IMO the most emotionally resonant of the three movies. This needs to be carried through. It would be really touching to see them fight together, there is a strong bond there.

No, she couldn't be the time traveler because she has no younger mind to transfer to.

If Logan is sent back using Kitty's powers then she could retrieve him, though she couldn't physically be in 1973.

Bobby kissed her in X2 and he's still alive. Just sayin'.

Anyway, sorry for the essay. Heading back off to lurkerdom now...
Thanks, URBAN COUGAR!! I agree with everything that you said and I also agree with the Logan/Jean thing didn't make a lick of sense. Most of his scenes were with Rogue through the first 2 movies. I'm sorry but it was more than just a crush for Rogue. She was in love with the dude, but what's a girl to do? She moved on to Bobby but she wasn't in love with him. Rogue thought in the back of her mind that Logan would never want her. Even though he did, and there's plenty of evidence through every movie that he did on some level. It was never spoken, but even in the tent scene in X2 it is evident there. Notice how when Mystique transformed into Jean he was all about it SEXUALLY, then when she morphed into Storm, No Reaction at all, but when she morphed into Rogue, he looked confused, like how could she know I want her, then he looked afraid, not of Rogue, but what he was thinking. Then he got pissed and threw her off. Mystique riled him up, but it wasn't until Rogue appeared that he got that way. So yes, there was something there. If Logan would have came to Rogue instead of Jean, Bobby wouldn't have even been on her radar. As for how Rogue feels about Logan in the new movie, we have no idea. 10 years has been a long time, but we don't know if they have seen each other or not. We don't know, if something might have happened between them when she took the cure or not. Just don't know. She might have slept with Logan in between that time. Even if nothing did, since Rogue so far has only had feelings for him and Bobby, we can pretty much say, she will have scenes with Bobby and Logan.

Oh and may I stress, Rogue has never looked at Logan like a Father. That's utter bull! No matter what is going on in the movies, Rogue is always thinking about Logan. She did not take the cure because of Bobby. She took the cure because she was tired of being alone and she wanted to feel some human touch. I mean can you imagine wanting this one guy but he's hung up on somebody else, and then getting this other guy and to see him flirting and hanging with this other girl? I'll admit Rogue/Logan couldn't be together in the beginning, not sexually anyways. She needed a little more experience first. But now Rogue is grown, she's not a kid anymore and I'm sure LOGAN will notice that.

I am sorry for being so long too, it's just JMO!

She saw him as a crush mixed with a big brother. And Logan won't have time to notice. There just isn't the time for any kind of romance there even if they were that inclined. Which Logan isn't. He's said that.

So crazy how invested people are in Rogue's love life lol. She's probably the most centered when it comes to pairings.

I see so many fans of Scott&Rogue, Wolverine&Rogue, Gambit&Rogue, Colossus&Rogue and even Beast&Rogue (strange one I ran across).

Oh and let's not forget the Storm&Rogue fans. YES, there are many LGBT fans that like their lesbian-esque storylines in the comicbooks.

This is true! Whatever she is doing is definitely a plot point though. I mean they are keeping Anna's part way under wraps, so it must be big. I mean so far all we have seen of her is a poster and the teaser showing her looking somewhere and what looks to be rescued by Bobby and Magneto, from what looks to be a camp. Obviously they didn't know she was there, but they find her there. I'll be so glad when we get the official trailer.
