It would be interesting if Black Widow seemingly betrays Steve at the end of the film and joins up with the opposing camp.

This would allow for lots of speculation over the following year, "Did she really switch sides, or is there something more to it? Is she just trying to infiltrate the enemy?"

Let people wonder a bit. Then that thread can be followed up on in Age of Ultron. I wonder if they really might do something like this (or if they might do something like this but with Fury as the "betrayer") since that would go along with statements that TWS will lead into AoU and set things up as far as the political stage and character loyalties.

Personally, I've always like the angle of BW being a double agent, and just when you think she's a bad agent she revealed her true intent in the end by betraying her superiors. To me, it makes her far more complex than just a secret agent. Of course, I do expect her to be on the side of the good at the end, but the journey will be very interesting if they can pull it off.

Wait ..... what exactly did they cut out with that Thor fight?

yeah it wasn't really that bad overall, a lot of peeps were all "Bwuh?" but seemed to feel that MS had a good track record with this sort of thing and just went with it.

There were a small handful of gripers who were certain this would turn out as some kind of wacky comedy tho, despite that not making much sense. That's more who I was talking about.

Well they didn't cut it out so much as it never got filmed. But they boarded and did some pre-viz/animatics of him doing some stuff with Thor before Thor hit the shield with the hammer.

Yes the tanker sequence was a lot like something out of Metal Gear Solid.

Call it Metal Gear Cap now.

I wished we would've gotten to see Cap trying to talk him down while performing some acrobatic defensive maneuvers before Thor landed the strike with his hammer ....

Please don't say that. You're going to give me unattainable expectations.

Well that's basically what it was.

Remember the opening sequence in Metal Gear Solid II?

This sequence highly resembled that. Cap does a big dive. Infiltrates the tanker and starts quietly knocking guys out.

IMHO, this was bigger and better than any action sequence in Iron Man 3. Look Iron Man 3 wasn't a bad film but it was not the big fulfilling finale we wanted out of Iron Man.

This movie looks very ambitious and serious. I just hope the directors can juggle all this story and all these characters.

I wasn't a fan of IM3 outside of Killianderin, but I think you were looking at it the wrong way. It wasn't meant to be a finale of anything. As far as the MCU goes, the traditional trilogy model is dead. Long live standalone connected stories!

I don't know if this has been discussed, but SS looked REALLY skinny during the D23 expo in the interviews, pics, etc. He looked pretty solid in TFA and the set pics of TWS. Is he slimming down for a new role or is he sick or something? Just curious. Maybe it was just the camera.

I'm praying that they don't mess the action scenes up in post production.

Crimson King, what I meant was, a lot of the things that kind of got started with Iron Man didn't really come to fruition. Specifically The Mandarin and the 10 Rings. The version we got of the Mandarin was kinda disappointing. Not poorly done, but maybe not the best execution. Also a lot of the action was not as big, epic, or impressive as this movie looks.

I think this looks like it will be the most fulfilling Marvel cinematic experience in quite some time. It looks big and epic. This looks on par with The Avengers.

The other thing was, we didn't really get any cool fulfilling villains.

Also, Sebastian Stan spilled something pretty revealing about Winter Soldier:

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
He has amnesia and doesn't know who he is fighting.

That's how he was in the comics so not really shocking or revealing.

Yeah, but a lot of things get changed for the movies anyway so we don't always know what will be kept or change like Extremis in Iron Man 3. Stark actually gave himself Extremis which he never did in the film.

IMHO they are never that big for the roles. They are wearing padding or body suits that make them look much bigger.

Not everyone. Usually the main stars go all out for the first film. Then they gradually get smaller as the series goes on. Like Craig and Bale.
