Bale didn't look that big for Dark Knight and Rises. He looked much smaller after playing a drug addict.

Like I saw Evans in July 2011 right after he had started shooting for Avengers. He looked in good shape but he didn't look swollen and big or anything.

Camera angles and visuals make them look even bigger though.

Ya, been saying that forever with some of these guys .... like in Evans case. He's definitely lean/athletic, but would never be confused for having an Adonis physique. The guys I'm impressed with are Jackman and Hemsworth. They really went there in trying to physically embody a superhero.

Finally saw the teaser with my own eyes yesterday at D23. Didn't expect any clip to be shown, nice additional surprise. Here is my takes:
  • The look of the film seems really grounded in reality. If I didn't know better, I wouldn't think this is a superhero film, more Bourne/MI-ish.
  • The fighting in both the teaser and clip are unbelievable. The camera work seems to showcase it too. Might be a bit brutal for some D23 audience.
  • The clip showed has gotta be in the early part of the film since Crossbone is assisting Cap and BW.
  • The people sitting near me were anticipating the last shot of TWS and went ballistic when he appears at the end. Although he did appear briefly in the middle, on the top of the car. He looks good.
  • Pretty sure the shield still has red when TWS picks it up.
  • I find it funny that Evans and Stan are like the same height. Stan even seemed taller (he did look a tad skinny).
  • Mackie bought the laughs. Same jokes he did at SDCC though.
Can't wait for you all to see it soon.

Kinda OT - I attended TV ONCE panel later in the day and someone asked for updates on Stan's character (he plays fan's favorite Mad Hatter, fyi). The show's creator bluntly said he is too busy being TWS. I guess his identity is out there for all fandoms, lol.

Interview with the Russos at D23. Not a whole lot of new info to report since they only finished shooting a little bit ago.

Maybe he needs burger.

It is a lot like this. Cap makes a big dive. Quietly boards the tanker, starts taking out hapless thugs using stealth and his shield.

Sweet. Since the creative team say the movie is going to be a "game-changer", maybe we'll even get our version of the MGS twist:

"Cap, that's not Pierce!"
"So who is it?"
"Cap, you've been talking to..."
"...Me... dear brother."
"Skull!? How the...!?"
"You've served your purpose. You may die now!"

"Your role -- that is, mission -- is to infiltrate the structure and disarm the terrorists --"
"My role? Why do you keep saying that."
"Why not? This is a superhero movie. The point is that you play out your part -- and I expect you to turn in a perfect performance!"

LOL, I'm totally fine with the movie ripping off all the big reveals from the Metal Gear Solid, even the ones that are goofy and make no sense.

But yes, the movie does look like it could very well be a game changer. I just hope the final product is as good and promising as this footage was.

Might be the Council ?

In one of the Avengers deleted scenes, Hill warns them by telling them that SHIELD had registered the conversation about blasting NYC
So if they ever tried to punish Fury, she would make the conversation public

IDK, so many possibilities

EDIT: It's also on Youtube and Dailymotion now

That is because his Avengers physique was not as good as his CA:TFA. He was indeed swole for that CA: TFA but not so much for TA.

I think he's back to his peak form for CA: TWS and has sort of equaled his mass gain for the original though he seems smaller in the chest and waist, see below.

And regarding appearance on camera, it is an exaggeration but still real. Like on the set videos of CA: TWS, Chris Evans would sporadically drop to the ground and knock off 25-30 push-ups to pump his biceps. On a guy that size, it can easily add a good 2 inches making them pop, specially in body fit T shirt he is wearing.

They go even further for shirtless scenes and do all sorts of calorie depletion and carb depletion and dehydration to bring out the definition for the shot and then go back to their normal lives once it is canned.

That's proly his natural self. Actors bulk and cut up for roles and then go back to their normal physiques.

Sure his arms look big, but he's still covering the rest. He looks pretty lean and slim.
