Agreed I had a "wut?" look on my face almost the entire time I was reading it. He also didn't know much about Cap's power, of course he came out the weakest next to Hulk, Thor, and IM.

Since well he's actually weaker than them physically, but he makes up for it in leadership ability, skill, and strategy.

Got a darkness/edge to it but also some nice, subtle heroic notes before the final eerie fade. Has me really intrigued by tone they went with as it sounds completely different from any previous Marvel movie.

Yeah, no. It's a novel idea obviously, but the July 4th slot has TF4 a week before it and then FF7 a week after it. It would be suicide, even for a Marvel movie. Only Marvel movies that could do that with swagger are Iron Man and the Avengers.

How sad that we live in a world where Bay-formers and Fast and the goddam Furious scare Captain America out of July 4th weekend

I aggree. More than any other, Cap should be the one to get the July 4th spot.

Oh and that music is sweet. Has a great feel. I hope the movie matches that.

that music is awesome, its starts of dark and grim but you slowly get a sense of hope and rise as it progresses.

Music's good. Definitely has a Bourne-type thriller vibe. If that's what they're going for in the movie I'll be very pleased.

I does suck we can't get Cap 2 on July 4th, especially with how relevant it will be to current American politics and society.

Its better not to go up against the Fast and Furious movie. You can call it "scare" or whatever you want but I see it as a smart move. Competing against a franchise that is doing good will only hurt you money wise.

Just watch when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits the theaters. No one, and I mean no one, will want to compete against that movie at the theaters. It just doesn't make sense, business wise. And vice versa for the CA:TWS against the likes of Transformers and F&F.

The music on the site is pretty kick-ass. Definitely getting a Bourne/Splinter Cell type vibe from it.

Me needs trailer now.

May is pretty much cleared out for AOU, lol. Like, there's nothing coming out within 3 weeks of it, it's funny.

The music is divine. I really do like Jackman's work on his prior movies, and the stuff he's doing for Cap really does sound like a legit spy thriller a la Bourne.

I'm really missing Alan Silvestri on this movie. It may be just suspense underscore for the final film, but Henry Jackman's involvement has me worried (and this sample isn't swaying me otherwise). There's nothing in that sample with a catchy thematic idea like in X-Men: First Class or that grand orchestral feel Silvestri brought to the first movie.

Maybe Jackman can surprise me. He's done some great work in the past...

While I agree about the Bayformers, I happen to like the Fast and Furious series. They're at least absurd and over the top in a ridiculously entertaining way.

fast and furious is tongue in cheek rather than offensively ignorant. and vin and the rock are good entertainment.

transformers is like someone ****ting themselves then saying so what, but then does something badass, but it still stinks.

It's not necessarily that, but I think Marvel Studios' mentality is that they want to be the first Marvel movie out that year. (Before they moved it to April 4, they had it scheduled for May 16.) I would bet money that had Sony not laid claim to the May 2, 2014 spot while ASM was in production, Captain America 2 would get that instead.

And they could have bragging rights to break the April opening weekend record previously held by two FF films (and possibly better weekend holds). That sounds better than having CA2 being crippled in its second weekend by FF7 and then Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in its third.

If Disney moves CA2 to July 2, I hope they're very confident in its playability, and not just how big the opening weekend will be. I'd rather them keep it in April IMO.
