I'm pleasantly surprised to see so many people in this thread not give in to pressure or go with the fanboy disgust of X3-Last Stand. As most people noted, while on some levels it most certainly did disappoint by not living up to the potential it had, it still had some redeeming qualities and its not as bad as fanboys would have you believe.

I used to think I was the only one who thought that, but seeing as so many people in this thread seem to agree that it's not nearly as bad as some say- I see I wasn't the only person to find it entertaining.

Almost universally we all agree on Origins though...lol (not enough lipstick in the world...)

There really is no pressure either way, you either like something or you dont, other peoples opinions shouldnt come into it.

If X3 worked for you thats great, if it doesnt thats great too

These thoughts are also my thoughts.

TLS is weak, but it has its moments. The Wolverine has gone some way to validating TLS, by giving Logan some consequence to suffer through.

I'd say they were all at least "good".I enjoy them all to different extents.I don't have the problem most people seem to have with X3 & Origins.I've always found the series too tough to rank, but I might try after another viewing of The Wolverine next week.

"Everyone"- well it's a fact that not 'everyone' agrees with that sentiment...lol speaking of facts, saying something is bad and stating it as a fact is too comical for words. Good and bad aren't facts my friend, that's what we refer to as opinions...

I agree 100% that other opinions shouldn't have any influence or weight as to what one thinks, but sadly that is not always the case. Group thinking is alive and well and most people are NOT immune to it- although most won't admit to that. There have been tons of research and papers published on the phenomena since the early 70's.

When I saw Jon Carter and thought it was a decent movie I will admit that I didn't admit to not hating the movie when it was so universally panned and loathed..

What made me even think to reference "not giving in to pressure" came from a personal experience. A few buddies of mine were talking about the X franchise and when I said X3 wasn't as bad as people say one of my friends admitted to being closet fan of the movie but never admitting to enjoying it since everyone he knew hated it.

And for some reason on message boards there's this weird desire to try to make everyone feel the same way u do. It's like people try to convince others that their opinions are wrong, so I respect the spirit of what u were trying to say about every person having their own take on things, cuz that's exactly how it should be...

Agreed to an extent, it works the other way too if "everyone" loves a movie you're pressured into loving it too even it you didn't like it. You are chastised for not adoring it.

The only X-Men film I think is legitimately bad is Origins: Wolverine.

I actually like X-Men: TLS. It's heavily flawed and a step down from the first two, but still a fun and entertaining movie, IMO.

I really like the first two and first class is easily my favorite with The Wolverine being in the middle between X-men and x2 in terms of overall enjoyment for me. i like parts of x3(mostly everything Magneto, the fights between Juggernaut and Wolverine/Iceman and Pyro and the Score) but overall there is a differant feeling to X3 that there is not with others. Origins also has cool moments mostly in the beginning with team x

Xmen, 1,2, and the Wolverine all good. First class was very good, one of the best comic book movies.

Origins was ridiculous, and X3 was just bad.

X-Men: Great
X-Men 2: Amazing
X-Men 3: Below average
X-Men Origins Wolverine: Bad
X-Men First Class: Excellent
The Wolverine: Good

So 4/6 for me.

X-Men: Good.
X2: Fantastic.
X3: God awful abomination that should burn in the fiery pits of hell.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Terrible, but not nearly as bad as X3.
X-Men: First Class: Great.
The Wolverine: Great.

Or you can understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion and should be free to express that opinion without having to put up with unnecessary comments like this one.

And saying that X3 non-fans are trying to "pressure" people into thinking X3 wasn't unnecessary as well?

He voiced his opinion, I voiced mine. I felt he made an unnecessary dig and I responded.

Oh stop, that was no "dig". The poster was simply pointing out that it was good to see that people here were able to make their own honest comments (good and bad) about X3 without being told their opinion was wrong.

If you have nothing nice to say in reply, don't say it next time.

I hate X3, I have it in my top 5 worst CB movies ever. However, I will not begrudge people for liking it, people have different tastes, which is fine. It actually makes for a really fun debate.

It was clearly a dig at people who didn't like X3.

And stating a backhanded compliment like not giving into whatever pressure or going with a fanboy disgust isn't a nice thing to say either, but somehow that's okay to say.

No one here has started criticizing or negatively responding to anyone's lists in here and all of a sudden someone passively aggressively does and the person who responds gets told not to say anything if it isn't nice. Kind of backwards logic to me.
Especially when nothing I said was insulting or negative toward anyone.

It wasn't a dig, or a backhanded compliment. It was clearly a comment about how this thread doesn't contain the typical "X3 SUX!!" venom that permeates most corners of the internet, and that people here have so far been able to share their comments (again, good and bad) about the movie on this thread without being bashed for admitting to enjoying aspects of X3.

If you're so offended by a comment like that, I suggest you report it instead of responding to it. Because clearly, you aren't good at responding to posts like that.

It wasn't a post worth reporting. If minor annoying(to me) posts like that require a report button then your mailbox must be full of unnecessary reported comments. And that's not sarcasm, that's honest bewilderment.

I'm more offended that my comment was cherry picked than the comment I was responding to, and that I feel the need to defend myself for a simple response.
I didn't spew 'X3 sucks' venom, I didn't say he was wrong, wasn't trolling or baiting; I just said it wasn't pressure. I simply disagreed.
