I think that's precisely why people like him for a Miller-esque TDKReturns Batman.

But I think it made sense in TDKReturns since Superman was also brutish and older... The contrast just seems weird to me

Let's see if this pushes that button.

Patrick Dempsey

Cause he's pretty and would make a great Kyle Rayner.

Oh most definitely, I agree.

And that's why I think forcing TDKReturns' influence into MoS2 is a bad move. That's probably the only story most WB executives could think of when they asked themselves, "What's the easiest way to put Batman in the sequel?"

Just because it has Batman and Superman doesn't mean it's right for this particular Superman, at least at this stage. Later, probably. Now? I don't think so, Tim.

Agreed. Aside from certain phenotypic traits (namely his black hair and blue eyes) which tend to remain consistent, Bruce Wayne's appearance in the comics, as depicted by several different artists, has been known to vary somewhat.

Miller's TDKReturns: Josh Brolin

Jim Lee's Batman: Maybe a 30something Pierce Brosnan

Animated Series Batman (especially version 2): Patrick Warburton

Jim Aparo's Batman: Jim Caviezel

Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne: Jon Hamm

David Boreanaz used to get mentioned a lot. He was probably the second most suggested actor for Batman behind Bale. He's 44.

He was perfect for the part in his younger days. I can't think of anyone who has ever been more perfect for Batman at any time.

Just because he was approached by WB doesn't mean that Zack HAS to approve him. Though, ironically, I think doing so would probably mean he was right for the role.

I like Bartha as well. Not for Batman but I find him likable and adorable.

This is magnificent news. But this might be a rumor.

Though Adkins would really be tremendous in the role.

I've seen worse choices listed here than Dempsey.

How much say does Snyder really have, though? He all but admitted in an interview about meeting with Miller that he ultimately has to do what WB wants (which isn't a surprise since that's how it goes in the industry).

Still, if I had to guess who Snyder wants and who WB wants are probably not the same person.

I'd bet my ass that Scott Adkins isn't going to be Batman.
