I love DiCaprio as an actor - but as Luthor... nah, not for me! For the Joker... hell yes!
So, just finished watching Dexter season 7... how about Ray Stevenson, he plays suave and menacing very well, and he's not averse to shaving his head for a part.

Lex should deceive the public, Batman, and if possible, the audience. By having Lex be as charming and commanding as possible, while another villain does all the fighting/causing chaos, and not showing any animosity against Metropolis or most humans in general, we're left with a disconnect of character. I would even like there to hint at mistrust at Lex because of some scandal in the past that he tried to put behind him. We'd want him to be redeemed, but know that his obsessions stand in the way. Not an antihero, he's DEFINITELY a villain, because his desires are all corrupt. But one with promise and potential thrown away because he couldn't abandon his obsession with control.

I'm on the Wilson bandwagon. I'd like him to be an unknown, to represent and unknown threat. If he's well known, I'd at least want him to play against type (so Strong's out).

No, Strong isn't out. No two of his performances are the same. That's exceptional for someone who is given so many similar parts.

I with you fully on the character of Lex, especially since I think the best version of the character is one who is not a natural sociopath but rather someone's who's moral code has been so twisted that he'll make an evil decision that hurts even his heart a little bit but he won't stop.

Wilson, Damon, any actor with sincere good guy charisma should get the role.

We need a guy who can make the public love him, and who we will love to hate when we see what he is really up to.

My list of choices are:

1.) Brad Pitt
2.) Tom Hanks
3.) Mark Strong
4.) John Hamm
5.) Michael Rossenbaum
6.) Jason Isaacs
7.) Jeffrey Donovan

Guys who would have been great that I will have to rule out:
Tom Hardy (Bane)
Guy Pearce (Mandarin)

Hmmm I'm kind of liking the idea of Pitt actually.
I've mentioned Hanks before and would love to see that happen. Glad Im not the only one.

Strong has to be my number one pick though, I've wanted that for years.

He's definitely perfect for Lex as an actor, only question is the looks. I'm actually fine with them changing it so Lex loses his hair later on, maybe in a fight with Supes.

I like the idea of Lex burning his own skin and hair intentionally, and then blaming Supes for trying to kill him. Something dark like that.

I'm hoping that Lex sticks around for a Kingdom Come inspired JL movie. Plus I think MOS is the last time we'll see Superman take a life willing or unwilling.

Superman doesn't have to be the one to kill him.

lex needs a different type of threatening i look at matthew mcconaughey in killer joe as the type of threatening i want a man who is calm, cold, charming but while he is just normally conversating you can feel his ulterior motives a man who should make you feel uneasy his charm should blind you

Here's an innovative plot twist we should all try. Let's just bring in Ben Kingsley & Guy Pierce to both be Lex Luthor. Ben Kingsley could be the charming, commanding "Lex" and the Guy Pierce is the "Lex" that does the dirty work.

Superman & Batman would never see them coming.

Then we could have a moment where they're both like "I'm Lex Luthor!", "No I'm Lex Luthor!" Then two gunshots go off killing both of them. Then this new guy says "I'm the REAL Lex Luthor remember MY name"

And Superman and Batman are all like

And Scene!

Now that is cinema gold!

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

I give you the only real choice for Lex Luthor. Seeing Lewis bald and in a prison jumpsuit gives me chills. Can anyone say All-Star Superman?

Beware Homeland spoilers.
