Also the thing that makes him realize he is crossing the line is the fact that he slaps Raimi Jane. But murdering two people is completely fine in his book.

I don't think Peter thought he killed Harry.I mean, after all,Peter took a pun'kin bomb to the face and came out none the worse.

As for Marko,"Didn't he deserve it?" At least Peter thought he did at the time.

They side-stepped the offensive asian stereotype with Kinglseys version of the Mandrin. They could've easily had him as the actual villain as he was, a terrorist overlord.

Or could've easily had him looking the same and acting the same but with Alien magic rings.

But they didn't.

This wasn't a 'they couldn't do a faithful adaption' case, this was a 'they didn't want to do a faithful adaption or even an interesting villian' case.

Thats my only issue with it.

Very true they could have even made him a Terrorist type from like the Middle East maybe getting revenge from part one.Sort of like in the movie Taken 2.

Mary Jane was bad in SM2 and awful in SM3.

She couldn't keep her pants on.

Mandarin wins
Galactus is second place but these could be a tie.

Not convinced that Foxx's Electro won't look stupid after it's all said and done though.

Which is horrible and the dialogue I heard from the SDCC '13 panel was laughable.

I'll take his Ultimate look over his 616 star-face silliness anyday. Like Hawkeye, there are just some characters you can do their classic look for and have it work in live action.

Clearly the yellow bolt mask is silly, no argument there.
An adaptation of it wasn't even tried.

I wasn't impressed with TASM and so far TASM2 isn't changing anything.

Well to each his own. TASM was pretty much the best Spider-man film I've seen to date. Not that that means I'm in love with it, but I liked it better than any of the previous 3 which never ranked very high for me.

Have to agree. Even when I really liked SM2.

I liked it but it lacked the kind of creativity Sam Raimi usually brings one screen

I actually thought it was just as creative as Rami, I enjoyed the grounded/neo-modern take Webb gave us (even over Rami's classic/campy take which I always liked).

What I most liked about TASM over the previous films was that here the relationships WORKED. I bought them pretty much all. In the Raimi movies I had to go further to suspend my disbelief that all these people would have anything to do with each other. And relationships are a huge part of Spider-man and his mythos.

True. Plus, the main characters had more than one dimension. Peter was not only a nerd, Uncle Ben was not only a kind-hearted guy, etc. Whic led to more believable relationships between them.

I maintain that had the Raimi films been early 1960's period pieces I would have liked them a lot more.
