Was it proven false? Ah, well. Seemed like a fun one to speculate on. Carry on, then.

That's not true. It was advertised well enough in the UK. I saw it advertised in various places that the general public would have seen. If people didn't go and watch it then it's because they didn't want to. I don't know about the US but that's the case in the UK.

People are obviously just becoming bored with Wolverine. The fact his solo movies don't do as well proves he isn't as palatable to the general audience outside of a team. You can't blame people getting fatigued over Wolverine when he has been in five movies prior to TW. He's not fresh anymore. I expect DOFP will dwarf TW in box office takings. An ensemble is much more appealing to people after multiple other X-Men related movies, especially as older characters are returning. It feels fresh again.

A random website unloads a bunch for crock based on stuff we already know so it must be true.

It hasn't been proven false, but there is little evidence that suggests it's even a possibility.

We need real news!!!!

I saw Bus posters and billboards for about two weeks at the most and TV ads very late at night, post 11pm

It wasn't advertised as much as ASM or IM3.

I sure hope so.

Last thing I need is my Days Of Future Past ruined by making it nothing more than a setup for a lame crossover that I don't even want.

That and Michelle Trachtenberg is one of those actresses who just brings down the quality of projects. Kind of feel bad for saying that, but it's true.

Yeah I doubt that she is in the movie, they would have announced her by now. Especially a character like Rachel Grey who should not be a secret character.

Rachel Summers?
I thought she's playing Scarlet Witch.

I reckon they've already announced all the mutants appearing. Other than any tiny cameos.

I saw it more than that. It wasn't popular on it's own merit not because it wasn't advertised enough. The public are just sick of Wolverine.

I'm actually looking forward to tiny cameos. I loved the small ones in X2 on the computer.

There should be the usual cameos. They've already said there will be some around Havok. You'd think we might get more in the mutant internment camp and if they show mutants getting rounded up by Sentinels.

And Superman, while being an Icon worldwide, had a modest boxoffice last time, with Superman returns.

so someone like Wolverine and Hugh Jackman, 100% more popular than Henry Cavill, well... should have gotten more attention than Cavill first movie as Supes.

Fox obviously didnt expect huge numbers from The Wolverine, and thats why the marking was decent, but not impressive.

But whatever the reasons are, right now Ironman and Superman have become bigger than Wolverine worldwide, so... we can only hope that Fox puts more focus from now in the actual team, and less in Wolverine, since his popularity and impact isnt as strong as it could.

X-MEN team has allways being bigger, so in this new era of comic movies, Fox should put the XMen Team where they belong.
And I just want to say and remind people that the first Iron Man movie had a SuperBowl ad (you can search it on YouTube) and Iron Man wasn't popular yet but that didn't stop Paramount for buying a superbowl ad and trying to promote their movie to a large audience.

Michelle only had the hair color for a few days (in the beginning of filming with the original cast on set) as she later tweeted something along the lines of it being fun while it lasted. Days of Future Past would naturally lead to Days of Future Present (please don't name the movie that) in which Rachel Summers was pretty integral. Could she pop in from the future in a corrected timeline as a post credit scene or ending cliffhanger?

Days of Future Present also heavily featured the Fantastic Four and we know they are trying to create a shared universe with the new reboot.

I know the whole rumor is more than likely false but it's just a thought.

So is adult Beast not going to be in DOFP? I won't miss Kelsey Grammer if thats true. I'm just curious how his absence will be explained. Maybe they will have Beast dead in the future. Like a tombstone for him. Sort of like you see in the cartoons when they do DOFP type storylines.

So when Logan goes to the past he tells the past Beast if they don't change the future, he's dead. Is this what you all think is likely to happen?

Wolverine needs some coaching from Doc Brown before informing people of their destinies

I don't know how they will go about explaining it, but, yes, I think Beast and Mystique are dead in the future.

They might mention what happened to beast in the future but I wouldn't be surprised if they just don't mention him at all, and I think younger beast will have his own plot going on in the past anyway so its probably only younger xavier who gets a glimps into the future

I think the audience will know what happens to Beast and Mystique, whether it's something said or shown in the future, but I'm not sure how much will be revealed to their younger selves. I think Charles may discover their fates when he reads Wolverine's mind, as Wolverine is trying to "convince him of all of this."
