A little off-topic, but Doctor-related. Does anyone know the name of the theme that plays during the football match on The Lodger? They use it in other episodes. It actually sounds similar to the POTC main theme.

I standby my belief that McGann and Eccelston will show up in the 50th, be it in the episode or one of the rumored shorts.

Plus, it would make sense, IMO, to see 8's "regeneration" into Hurt, and Hurt's regeneration into 9.

I believe McGann will have a cameo, because Moffat seemed to enjoy McGann's Doctor, but I think if we see Eccleston it will be a cameo in the same vein as Tom Baker's in The Five Doctors.

I suspect this will be the case. The illogical, fanboy part of me hopes that Eccleston will be in the special, but as I always do, I expect the worst, to avoid disappointment.

That's true, but Moffat also said the special would be as long as it needs to be, so I trust his judgement. But if it's to be truly epic in scale and worthy of the 50th anniversary, and with the docu-drama getting 90 minutes, you can see where I'm coming from.

Have you not been getting the Doctor Who Revisited stuff in the UK? Is that like a BBC America thing only? Because once a month all year, they've been airing these short documentaries on each Doctor and playing one of their more well known serials immediately after.

There was a rumour circulating that there would be another Doctor in the special. I hope it’s true. If it's going to be someone my bet is McGann, perhaps a re-gen of 8 into Hurt.

A new one has been airing every month.

They recently showed the 8th Doctor one, complete with a airing of the tv movie in its entirety.

Though, I'm pretty sure the Doctors Revisited specials are exclusive to BBC America.

It's mainly being used to familiarize american viewers to the Doctors predating Eccelston since Who only really came to America after during his run.

I heard that as well.

The earliest rumors, besides the ones saying ALL Doctors would be in, said that the Doctors that would appear in the special would be 1, 2, 8, and 10.

But yeah, some of the more recent rumors say that at least one other Doctor will be featured.

Well, if you don't count the TV movie airing on Fox in 1996 or Doctors 4-7 airing on PBS in the 80's back to back with Monty Python and Are You Being Served.

I find it kind of ridiculous that BBC America has yet to air any Classic Who prior to these Revisited specials. They could easily slot an hour of Classic Who into their Saturday afternoon lineup, just before the Supernatural Saturday block.

Just popping in to say, I've never watched a Dr Who episode, but I've always been interested in this multiple doctor thing. Wish they did something like this for James Bond (obviously sans the scifi aspects) and acknowledged it was a different agent than the last actor. Anyway, that's all I have.
