project wants gemma, so like a good campaign manager he slanders anyone who's in competition.

I'll say this, if she stood next to arterton, i wouldn't be able to keep my eyes off of her. debicki is extraordinary.

also, via cbm, paul feig made a ww pitch to warners.

story here.

i'd say u can't use Keira Knightley's frail frame against her if Debicki's frame is considered ok. i'd say they have about the same body type

Feig wants to tackle the flick. If no one else is honestly going to get the thing greenlit and he does, I'd say let the dude try.

You make it seem like Knightley is a gnome or something.

If Knightley is in heels than she is pretty much on Debicki's level. She could easily be considered a Amazon if Debicki can.

if by "heels" you mean stilts, then yes. "heels". knightley is 5'7 debicki is 6'3. that's an 8 inch difference.

You must have never heard of 6 inch heels... Anyway whoever plays WW doesn't need to be 6'3 that is just a bonus in Debicki's case.

I like Debicki, but not her +6.0 ft height. That's sort of a non-issue on film.

I disagree, I feel like Wonder Woman should having a loving warmness to her look rather than a cold look.

The one actress I am looking at right now is Evangeline Lilly. I'm looking forward to see how she does in the Hobbit sequel.

I agree about the required look, but Lilly has two problems. She is only about about 5'.4" tall and 34 years old. I think they would want a taller and younger actress. Note, Alexandra Daddario is 5'.8' and only 27. And shes gorgeous.

I wasn't a fan of his take though. Superman and Batman as sexist jerks will rip the internet into pieces.

I agree that this movie should be made but it should be done right as opposed to just doing whatever is pitched.

I'm not surprised that Feigs pitch was rejected, I'm guessing WB will want future DC films to have a similar tone to Man of Steel so an action comedy was never going to fly,

But did you read what his take on WW would be? He basically wanted to turn the movie into a feminist comedy in which WW tries to break through the glass ceiling imposed on super heroines by Batman and Superman, who are a pair of mysoginists that look down on female crime fighters.

No, thank you. Fortunately WB/DC passed.

The comedy aspect wasn't what got it denied. The movie would have crapped all over Batman and Superman.

same goes for gemma, the 5'7 the brunette. i don't see any alice eve (who's a good actress) suggestions and she's an inch and a half shorter then gemma, but of course she's a blond, so no way. an inch and a half shorter and the blond hair is a deal breaker, as if it's that much farther away from 6'0 then 5'7 is, and dark hair dye hasn't been invented yet. alot of sorcery is required for that.

Bridesmaids and The Heat Director Paul Feig Pitched a Wonder Woman Movie to Warner Bros.
Unrealized concept would’ve had an adventure-comedy tone and "glass ceiling" angle.

I attended a dinner last night with director Paul Feig to discuss his buddy-cop comedy The Heat. The Sandra Bullock/Melissa McCarthy film hits Blu-ray next week, but Feig was very amenable to discussing other aspects of his career as well, including a never-before-revealed pitch he made to Warner Bros. for a Wonder Woman movie.

The idea for Feig’s film would’ve involved a Wonder Woman who “keeps hitting the glass ceiling” of the superhero world. Conceived as a lighter action-comedy, this Princess Diana of Themyscira has to contend with male heroes like Batman and Superman who are perhaps not as forward-thinking regarding their female counterpart as they should be. (I think the word “jerks” might’ve come up.) Feig compared this Wonder Woman to the suffragist Cicely Hamilton (who wrote the 1908 "feminist" play Diana of Dobson's).

I asked Feig if the tone he had in mind would’ve been more in line with, say, the Iron Man films, and he said that was the basic idea. But not surprisingly, the studio did not go for the pitch. And Feig told me that in retrospect he can see why the concept didn’t fly, as the fans can be quite protective of their characters and any changes that are made to them

If they went the tv series route if young Diana she would be perfect.

Anyway that pitch seems sexist and unserious so it's good if it went/goes nowhere.
