Give it a rest. The guy got fined $100K, the largest fine for an on field incident ever, for what wasnt even a clear cut chop block. It looked more like he whiffed going for his midsection. Even Sullivan, the Viking player, said he didnt think it was intentional. If it was any other player in the NFL there wouldnt have even been a fine.

He's gonna seriously hurt someone. Then again, that's probably his intention.

I like the guy but I think he is overrated.

As for the Suh thing, I agree with First Take on putting the coach in the hot seat. He needs to get his team to knock off this bad boy attitude if he wants his team to ever have a shot at a championship.

the worst was reading Jaimie Dukes tweet regarding Suhs actions, saying some players just ''blank out'' ( Incognito been one of them)

RG3 absolutely is overrated. Well, overhyped to be exact. Fans will say that RG3 was simply rusty the other night, and that may be true to an extent, but when dissecting his game in the pocket it's clear that his passing capabilities have been a tad exaggerated. Fans will then point to RG3's completion percentage and YPA. Yet, they neglect the number of screens, dump-offs to RBs and underneath passes, and that The Redskins' were a top three team in yards after contact.

RG3 needs his legs and a strong running attack in order to launch his deep ball. If DBs don't cheat to the LOS, he struggles. Point blank, RG3 needs to improve as a passer.

Other NFL players haven't stomped on people or punched them or said that they want to injure other players. Suh does not deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I defended Suh early on, but now he's just building a bad reputation. He puts himself in these situations.

Suh never said he wants to intentionally injure anyone nor has he ever punched anyone. He slammed Delhomme to the ground in a preseason game, pushed Cutler down really hard once (Deacon Jones is laughing at us), stomped the Packers player, and then hit Schaub in the groin with his foot. That's his list of "offenses," which outside of the stomping arent all that outrageous. C'mon now. Next thing you know, you're going to be telling me he eats kittens for breakfast.

and the fine he got was based solely on his reputation. any other chop block play is a 15 yard penalty and thats all you hear about it.

I hate for anyone to get hurt, but I bet there are actually some Jet fans glad he won't be QB'ing this year.

Probably. A lot of spoiled fans who got on the band wagon after the back to back AFC Championship appearances. As someone who listens to NY radio, it really set up some unrealistic expectations for Sanchez.

Jets Say They Were Planning to Give Mark Sanchez Season-Ending Surgery Even if He Wasn’t Hurt

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will undergo surgery on a torn labrum that will keep him out for the entire 2013 season, but the former starter’s absence due to a surgical procedure was reportedly something that was going to happen with or without an actual injury.

“Mark getting hurt in his last preseason game was actually a great stroke of luck,” said head coach Rex Ryan. “We don’t experience a lot of luck in this organization, but we have nothing to complain about in this instance.”
Sanchez was slammed to the turf on his right throwing shoulder in New York’s third preseason game and hasn’t seen the field since. Nor would he have even if he had made it through the preseason unscathed.

“We had a whole sham physical set up for Mark in which our team doctor was going to say he needed an array of surgeries to not only extend his career, but to survive,” said team owner Woody Johnson. “Did I feel a little bad about it? You know, ethically? Not really, to be honest. Getting Mark Sanchez off the field by any means necessary just felt like I was looking out for the best interests of this team, which should be my No. 1 job as team owner. But, sure, now that he has a legitimate injury, I don’t have to worry about maybe one day having a flare up of conscience over forcing a young man to undergo a bunch of unnecessary invasive surgical procedures.”

The quarterback received the diagnosis after meeting with doctors on Wednesday.

“It’s obviously not something I wanted to happen. I want to play football,” said Sanchez. “I really want to get a second opinion, but Coach Ryan and Mr. Johnson are really insistent for some reason that I don’t see any other doctors than the one they sent me to.”

The good news for Sanchez is that a torn labrum is not considered to be a career-threatening injury.

“Dammit,” said Johnson. “Any idea what a career-threatening injury might be? I’m just, you know, curious.”

Is it bad that just from the headline, I didn't realize it was satire until I got into the article?

How many backup QBs have been released that are probably better than Sanchez? It's like when the Jets were hoping to get something for Tebow. No one is even going to come to the table with an offer.

So is Sanchez the biggest QB bust to come from USC? Or does Flatlinert still take the cake there?

I bet Carson Palmer and Matt Barkley are forever grateful for those guys. No matter how many picks Palmer throws and regardless of whether Barkley even sees a minute of actual game time, at least they know they'll never be viewed as poorly as Sanchez or Leinart.

Sanchez probably has to be since the Jets traded up to draft him so high, but I feel like there were higher expectations for Leinart coming out.

Thank God he held out for an extra year and the 49ers ended up drafting Alex Smith instead...

(did you ever think those words would be uttered?)

At least Palmer had a level of success before he ultimately flamed out after a bad injury.
