Someone over on the CBM forums said, "That's not Dick Grayson. That's Dick-Face Son!"

Since when is Nightwing supposed to dwarf Batman or Superman, for that matter? He's supposed to be an acrobat/gymnist type. A bit smaller and more limber than a musclebound bruiser.

I was kind of worried when Eh Maybe claimed they were looking for a John Hawkes type, and now I know why.

He is really not the right person for the role. Maybe they're worried if batman has nightwing than it will make things gay so they're going for the least homoerotic choice they could think of.

Or maybe they just needed a minority actor. Ok I slightly understand that but don't get him! Go for someone like Diego boneta!

This happens all the time. An actor is announced in a role of a famous character. Fans flip out because he/she doesn't not look right for the role and has not played a similar role before. They then begin to post pictures of other actors who look more like the character. Most of the time these fan choices are really uninspired, and then the actor/actress who was getting hated on ends up doing a stellar job and winning everyone over. I've learned to stop hating on actors who get cast in comic book roles like this. We've been proven wrong too many times before....

THEN AGAIN!

I actually think this may be the time where I can say that the actor chosen for the role(or at least in contention for it) may not be suited for it. I know that pretty much goes against everything I said above, but I too would not want Adam Driver to play Nightwing.

I dare say warner brothers would disagree with you.

I personally don't mind fan girls. Let em come if they want. If they're noisy that's something else entirely but it's not like I'm going to be sitting in a movie saying "oop, there's a woman enjoying this film too, I can't like it now"

But does he have to be? As long as he nails the character.

I'm sort of liking Adam Driver's unconventional look for Robin. I could easily see him in Burton's Batman universe.

No, let's not mince words. He's u-g-l-y. He's got no alibi.

They have a point because the Joker is not supposed to be pretty, Dick is.

Let's be honest, what would be your reaction if WW was that ugly? Just look at how people here treat Maggie's Rachel.

Don't like that casting. Would prefer someone more in the JGL mold.

The guy is kinda good-looking in certain shots, and oddly enough, I can actually see him as Nightwing. He's far from my first choice, though...hell, I don't even have a first choice because I haven't given this any thought.

I'll only except Driver as Nightwing if these two play his parents

It'll help out a bit. Explain his face.

Well the Mayimbe report did say they were going for a John Hawks type and this guy definitely fits that bill. I don't get WHY they're doing that though. :/

I don't like that he's so tall, but I agree with the post.
