I don't think of Batman as a ninja. Nolan's Batman, yes, but not Batman Batman.

Superman Returns obviously looked well made and the Christopher Reeve one looked alot better than Lois and Clark. Granted Lois and Clark had the whole idea that Ma Kent made the suit so it kind of came off that way but still..

My point is, any Batman suit that looks too much like tights, even if the explanation is that they aren't tights just won't work for Batman on film. With Superman, he is invincible so he could wear whatever he wanted. Batman's suit, on film, needs to look like a guy who understands he is (at the end of the day) just a man. I'm not saying an Iron Man suit, but if Batman is so smart and tactical, he surely won't run around in something that would make him too vulnerable.

Yes Batman uses stealth, and yes he is agile, but The Avengers showed us a Captain America suit that allowed for mobility but didn't look like it was pure spandex.

A good, non-monochromatic black rubber suit is possible. The main question is if the people making these movies believe it is.
Have you not been reading any of the posts here? NOBODY is asking for a flimsy looking Spandex suit. (Again, the only ones I ever see bring up Spandex are the anti-fabric people) All we want is one that is fabric based, and in the story is made of real world anti-ballistic materials with maybe a bit of padding for blunt force hits and looks like it comes off the pages of the comics (you know, where Batman came from originally?) And please, no more all black rubber, that concept has had its day and it's done. Let's not do what every other movie has done already, and try a duo-chrome scheme for a change.

For goodness' sake, are you trolling at this point?

I'd like to know where the empirical evidence is thats says tights won't work?

Even the Shumacher movies had rubber suits

Bruce Wayne could afford to make any kind of suit he desires. Who's to say the suit I posted isn't state-of-the-art?

Remember, Batman's goal by wearing a Batsuit isn't to look perfect and sexy. It's to make him appear intimidating and capable of kicking serious ass. I just said I wouldn't mind seeing a Batsuit that is a little more rough and gritty looking in comparison to Superman's God-like perfection. A contrast between Batman and Superman will be a good thing, IMO.

Yes we do, but you are completely ignoring the reasons why we have that preference and bring up the tired same old Spandex reference that no-one here has asked for.

I'm not saying anyone wants a Batman who purposefully chooses Spandex..my point is several costume concepts basically look like spandex.

Only those that nobody wants, and for which no one is arguing.

If you are determined to make the case against "tights" and "spandex", then I suggest you trawl the internet in search of a forum where someone is in favour of either.

As I've said before, I'm not opposed to spandex, per se, more the flimsy, shiny, cheap spandex tights that are generally seen in cosplay outfits. A more textured and substantial material with a stretchy spandex-type blend could work well, and such suits have already been used as futuristic/state-of-the-art attire in various sci-fi themed films.

Lex should be the only one with a power suit. I finally want to see a physical Lex Luthor, I think we're ready for the suit

I don't wanna see Lex in a power suit. Should he ever go toe-to-toe with Superman it should be because he was able to give himself powers like All-Star Superman.

It could only be bettered by "EXTREME power suit".
