I wonder if the music from the website will be the trailer music? They always use library music and not score music for their trailers...and often time they use that music on their website like they did with Thor

I hope the post-credits scene in this movie is Hawkeye showing up and *****ing about how he was left out of all the action again.

The Cap 2 trailer begins with these words.

"Coming up on the drop zone Cap" ;-)

Castor troy, how did you like the Cap trailer? Does it come off as "grittier" and darker than CA:TFA?

So jealous you got to see it!

It definitely feels grittier that the first film. The action on displays feel more contemporary and in line with new and current action films.

I really liked the trailer.

"Coming up to the drop zone Cap"

Man grins "Yes he did"

On the first trailer for The First Avenger, they used part of the score that the film's official site used.

I wonder what will prevent this from being looked at as Avengers 2 with Black Widow prominently being in the film.

Not having Tony, Thor, Bruce or Hawkeye is a good start.

Granted, people are calling this movie Avengers 1.5, but really it's only Hill who's been solely in the Avengers. Natasha and Fury have skipped around from franchise to franchise.

Is it a bad thing if it's closely tied to The Avengers?

Natasha is sharing the movie with Steve, allegedly.

SHIELD were most prominent in the Avengers, that was the only time we'd seen them on the inside, and they're prominent again here. The WSC appeared in the Avengers, and they're playing a role here.

And people don't stop talking about how it bridges the gap between Avengers and Avengers 2.

I don't know if it's a bad thing or not, it might help the movie's revenue, even.

But as a fan purely concerned with the story, I want the Cap franchise to stand as something of its own, and be as distinct as the Thor or Iron Man franchises, with its own characters and so on, rather than Avengers lite.

It really depends on how the story is written, though. Steve, in the comics, probably has the closest ties to SHIELD of any of the characters, excluding Tony.

Also, people talk about The Avengers in relation to every Marvel movie coming out. It's smart to link the next Marvel movies to the biggest comic book movie of all time and the third highest grossing movie of all time. That's really just smart marketing. Giving Natasha a lead role helps with the female audience to connect with a female character they are already familiar with, and gives some gender parity to this otherwise very masculine production.

Everything I've read and heard about the movie is it's still very 100% focused on Steve and Steve confronting his past. The fact that it's inspired by poolitical thrillers from the 70's already makes it stand out from Thor and IM and Avengers.

Steve is the one member of the big four that having a close connection to SHIELD makes sense. One, he's a soldier, its all he knows and two, where's he going to go? He's 70 years out of time and all of his friends and family are either dead of really REALLY old. SHIELD's kind of all he's got at the moment.

Steve has ties to SHIELD, but he's never really been that ingrained in the organization. And it's mostly due to his involvement with Sharon

Which is to say, comics Steve could get a tip or some help from Fury or Sharon and tackle it and that would be the storyline. But the movie takes it much farther than that by having a good portion of the story revolve around SHIELD, with much of its major characters being SHIELD members, except for the one SHIELD member that has the most involvement in Cap stories.

Not with Thor2 or Iron Man3.

We're reading different things, then, because everything I've read indicates its as much an Avengers or Black Widow thing as it is about Captain America.

Anywhere he wants. Really, there's got a be dozen things Steve could do aside from working for SHIELD.

And let's remember the last thing Steve had to say about SHIELD.

Tony: I'm not marching under Loki's fife.
Steve: Neither am I, he's got the same blood on his hands that Loki does.
