It was a great two episodes. Vaatu had an excellent voice actor and I loved some of his lines like "To Hate me to give me bread. To fight me is to give me strength". It felt like a retelling of an old Legend, like the Ramayana or the Journey to the West. It was very unique and the music was gorgeous.

This episode was as close to perfection as an episode could get. The only thing I hated was that it was confined to an hour. Hopefully the rest of the season will continue to live up to the bar these episodes have set.
Here's my review: http://twodashstash.com/2013/10/lege...nnings-review/ Let's chat in the comments about what you loved about it! |

I do wonder though how those arrows got stuck in that rock he's resting on.

Yeah, a shield made out of rock. I do not know much about archery but I've never heard of someone putting an arrow inside a rock.

Do you guys thinK Vaatu will escape and become a season 3 bad guy or that he's the villain who makes the nations unite season 2 last villain?

Oh he's Season 2 for sure, prolong this (especially since the Harmonic Convergence is just weeks away) would be ridiculous. He'll be the focus on the back half of the season.

I thought the same thing. Especially with seeing part of how/why the different people fought, became their own nations, and Wan's failure of bringing peace.

That was the gut-wrenching part. He died an old man knowing in some ways the world was the way it is because of him and he couldn't fix all of it. Still that he tried to uphold his beliefs even till his literal last breath was inspiring.

Once Korra does what whatever she does by season's end, Wan will come back in spirit form to thank her.

Ah someone will comment on how "cliche" either outcome will be and bash Korra for trusting Unalaq who was so obviously the 1-dimensional bad guy to begin with. The first scenario you mention seems a lot cooler though.

And Raava saying they'd still be together before he died was nice.

Ha ha. Nice to see that in some ways the guardians of the last era still make it a point to help out the guardians of the current era.
