I do at some point hope Rumlow dons the Crossbones mask.

If they could use the updated Cap WWII uniform, that'd be great too!

While I don't think we'll see Falcon in Avengers 2, I do think if it's between him and Rhodey to add diversity, it'll most likely be him.

Yeah, it was definitely their pitch that got them the job. Evans talked about it recently, too. Saying he saw their pitch reel that included cut scenes from the Cap video game, showing Cap fighting exactly the way Evans wanted him to.

Mackie has been evasive on the subject. You wouldn't necessarily have to have him be on the actual team. He could show up at some point to help fight Ultron, maybe Cap calls him to ask for help. Also, BW wasn't falling in the image, I think that she was propelling down that shaft.

I see a lot of comments saying this reeks of Mission: Impossible.

I think SHIELD's presence is refreshing since they were missing in IM3 and presumably TDW.

IM 3 was problematic, but I don't want SHIELD in TDW. They don't fit in that kind of movie at all.

So in this week's episode of AOS, Neira (or Reina) mentioned Captain America, and a few days later they release TWS trailer

Me think it was an Easter Egg

This is supposed to be his origin. Grillo hinted that you won't see the mask till next appearance.

Yeah, their presence is welcomed in TWS.

So next appearance would signify a Cap 3? There has been some discussion as not knowing if it would be part of phase three.

I think Grillo said a while back that he'd be in AoU. Not sure if that's still true, though.

Twitter and an interview. Tail end of filming. He talked about every villian having an origin...and fans should have patience.... and he wasn't always a "bad" guy yadda yadda. He also hinted in a tweet that we may only see part of a uniform and no mask yet

Oh, wow. I was expecting him to don the mask in this movie, but there's enough going on as it is. Hopefully he appears in AoU.

Oh a costume designer also mentioned making his armor look like a crossbone without...you know...literally giving him crossbones

He better have the mask. Whether that's in this movie or the next isn't my issue. But whenever he is fully crossbones he better have the skull mask.

Speaking of IM3

Iron Man fans are going to be a little jealous that Tony Stark makes house calls! Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark on screen and apparently he will stop by parties in character too. Offering to make a little girl’s dream come true, Tony Stark stopped by Jamie Foxx’s house on Tuesday for his daughter’s birthday party. There is no doubt that every Iron Man fan in the country was wishing Robert Downey Jr. would stop by their house too.

*Nice post from an poster*

Quote:
"I was underwhelmed by the first Cap movie, but I have to admit--that looked kinda awesome.

If you stop and think about it, Marvel is attempting something with their properties that has never really been done in the history of movies. Multiple standalone movies and fanchises (and now TV series) that are tying together to tell a single overarching story. Of course, comics have done this since the sixties, and it's the continuity which is probably one of the most entertaining aspects of comics for fans--that sense that there's a big story to follow and keep up with. To attempt it on screen however, has always been beyond the scope of the medium--or accurately, the imagination of the industry.

I know moviegoers complain about the surfeit of superhero comics, but I think the sheer scope and audacity of this project is actually something to be admired."
