the best parts were from Loki and some pretty good effects but nothing to say it was better or worst than IM3 both were pretty lame overall
And of course the better part is when the mid-credits appeared when one of the infinity stones make his first appearance for the upcoming from Marvel

Yes I agree. Thor 2 was pretty overall. Much in the same vein as IM3. Too many unncessary and underdeveloped characters and the plot was just all over the place and just too much comedy. Especially at the wrong times.

Oh my ****ing god, put spoilers in spoiler tags for Christ's sake. I shouldn't have to worry about getting spoiled for things that happen in a Thor movie reading a thread about Superman. Thanks a lot for that.

Metropolis was not evacuated in MoS, there's no evacuation order shown in the movie, that's just something fans made up without basis to feel better about the movie.

Zach Snyder, the director of the movie, confirmed that he wanted to show a movie where a huge number of people died in Metropolis:

In America, we don’t have that legacy of ancient mythology. Superman is probably the closest we get. It’s a way of recounting the myth.

A huge number of people ("mass deaths") died in Metropolis, that's the movie that was shown, and that's the movie that the director intended to show.

And, other than the series finale where they fight Darkseid, when was there ever that much destruction in any of the fights in the DCAU?

Or because there are actually differences between the fight in the cartoon and the fight in the movie? Maybe? Maybe because it's not simply the amount of destruction, but the manner in which that destruction is framed and presented to the audience?
OK, looks like I misunderstood the captain marvel fight, not surprising as I'm having a very hard time staying awake when watching JLU, my apologies for the error.

There is plenty of nonstop destruction in JLU. From the series premiere to the than agar invasion, to Lex procreating with Brainiac to make Lexiac, et cetera. That's my biggest gripe with the cartoon: it's boring.

With that whole send a video question thing to the MOS cast, does anyone know if I have to show my face in it?

I want to put my own video question together but my own way.

The movie would've been better if we had less jokey moments and more Sif-Thor, Sif-Jane interaction and the beginning battle sequence being longer. I guess she felt Marvel wasn't giving her enough.

No arguments here!

I'd personally prefer these studios stop reusing actors in the superhero roles.
That's already ruined Captain America for me.

i figured as much. sif is supposed to be the WW of the marvel universe isn't she?

having seen thor plenty of times, i thought she was underused as well; they really seem intent on making the whole god/mortal love thing happen. i was waiting to see thor 2 to really gauge whether or not it would be a good idea to cast her as ww, bu now that you mention it, i like it. i was a fan of her in the role soon as i saw her in thor and from what she's said, she seems pretty familiar with her.

It really depends on what case in my opinion, if it's lesser known to popular A-list superheroes like Ben Affleck and Chris Evans then fine. I can't see someone like Henry Cavill or Christian Bale or Andrew Garfield for example playing another superhero.

At least its two different companies, as opposed to a Chris Evans type situation, where he played 2 marvel characters

Fox Marvel and Disney Marvel are effectively two different companies.

Seriously, if she's cast as merely a love interest for Bruce Wayne or hell, even Supergirl, they've definitely done themselves some serious miscasting. I mean...just look at her!

I'm guessing it will just be a cameo, a scene at the end of the movie, or (heaven help us) an after credits scene leading to the Justice League. I do agree that adding WW to this sequel would be a little too plot-heavy. However, it would be the first time we'd see a legitimate amount of DC heroes/characters on the big screen...EVER! Come on, you'd have to be just a little excited over this.
