Apart from a few obvious seconds in the final battle, I though all of the CGI in MoS was top notch. Certainly the Smallville battle was executed best of all IMO.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weta Digital has worked on movies like Avatar, The Avengers, and even Man of Steel. In a new interview with Collider, visual effects supervisors from Weta Digital confirmed that they’ll be working on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well:
“We are working on the Man of Steel sequel, yes… We can’t say much more than that, but we’re excited.”
Weta Digital was responsible for the big Krypton opening scene in Man of Steel and it’ll be interesting to see what they get to work on this time around. With characters like Aquaman and other Justice League members getting cameos, they’ll certainly have a lot to play with.

Argh, the interviewer forgot to ask the most important thing; how much of the movie they're doing!

Krypton looks damn flawless, but the technical effectiveness dipped right after it due to less experienced studios. I want a full-on WETA project ala the last two Apes movies.

I'm excited. I honestly think they'll do a little bit more this time around.

Who did the special effects from MOS? I thought they did a wonderful job, I hope they're back again too.

Double Negative is returning for Batman V Superman. And with the studio merging with Prime Focus World, they'll likely do the 3D conversion too.

So MPC, WETA, and Double Negative are back.

I wonder what kind of sequences WETA will be working on here. No more Krypton, so maybe they'll do some of Superman's flights? Or maybe if they'll hint at Diana's origins, maybe a glimpse of Themyscira?

Also think with Double Negative on board, they'll probably do some sequences involving Batman and the Batmobile (as they did in the Nolan trilogy) as well as rendering Superman's flight sequences too.

According to this, they only did a small amount of scenes:

Quote:
We completed around 90 shots for about 4 different sequences. The tornado sequence, the oil rig destruction, the X-Ray vision, flashback, and some smaller one offs.
I actually thought the tornado and oil rig sequence were only ok in the cg department, but I guess it shouldn't matter as it seems like they're only a small part of the bigger picture.
