1. Man of Steel - 8/10
2. Thor: The Dark World - 7/10
3. The Wolverine - 5/10 (which means an "average" film for me)
4. Iron Man 3 - 3/10

Man of Steel and Iron Man 3 were excellent. It was hard to decide.

Ok, I can decide now. Lookin' like TTDW wins the year by default.

1. Thor: The Dark World 8/10
2. Iron Man 3 7.5/10
3. Kick-Ass 2 6.5/10
4. Man of Steel 6.5/10
5. The Wolverine 5/10

I am seeing Thor 2 again today so will be voting later, again pretty sure MOS will be on top, my 3rd viewing of that movie was the most enjoyable yet.

I voted Kick-Ass 2, because, eh, while it's not the best, it was the only one that did not leave me severely disappointed (though it is a huge and expected stepdown from the first film). But to do it realistically:

1. Man of Steel (7/10)
2. Iron Man 3 (7/10)
3. The Wolverine and Thor: The Dark World and Kick-Ass 2 (6.5, tie)
7. GI Joe: Retaliation (5/10)

I avoided RIPD or RIPD, because they looked beyond awful.

Overall it was a pretty bad year for superhero movies. The worst since at least 2009.

1. Man of Steel (This was Dark Knight-level good) - 10/10
2. Thor: The Dark World (This completely surpassed my high expectations) - 9.5/10
3. Iron Man 3 (A disappointment, but still a fun movie) - 7/10

If you were able to give 4 CBM films a rating higher than a 5.0, then thats not really bad. Its more like an average year.

I do agree about KA2, it surprised by how good it actually was, obviously not as good as the 1st movie, but it was a good movie in its own write and a good progression for the characters and world. Wadlow impressed me a lot.

MOS just wowed me a lot more, and as movies the others are better, but I had a great time when I watched KA2, both times I went to see it.

Personally, I found Thor to be the best CBM this year.

Plan on seeing Thor again, which will be the first CBM I've seen twice this year.

Not if those scores are lower than he's given CBM's of the past few years.

While my scores are different, this is pretty much how I'd rank them as well, and I agree about KA2. Thanks to low expectations, I actually came out of that one pleasantly surprised.

I think the action alone justifies a second view.

I'll be honest they were graded on the curve. When not one of them can reach a 7.5 though, it is bad to me. Not when 2012 gave us The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers, 2011 gave us X-Men: First Class, and 2010 at least gave us Kick-Ass. This year was a wash, as I think none of them have any rewatchability. Just my opinion.

Finally saw Thor 2 again, and I enjoyed it slightly more, but MOS is still my number 1 for this year, with The Wolverine close behind as well.

Thor 2 just didnt aim high enough for me, you can see Marvels meddling all over it, and it turns what could have been a great movie into a good one. MOS delivered on all fronts for me.

At first it was MOS, but after seeing TDW, it has to go to Thor for me. I see myself rewatching TDW more than MOS, because to me, it's more of a fun movie. The action doesn't get repetitive like MOS' either.

True but I'd say it was better than 2009. All we got that year was XO:W and I'd struggle to rate that piece of dog**** higher than a 3/10.

Edit: Forgot Watchmen was 2009 as well. Anyway, I only gave that one a 5/10 so 2013 is still doing considerably better than 2009. 2009 really could have used TIH more than 2008 needed it.

Yeah, 2009 was particularly weak for CBM's. This was at least better than that.

^I personally find Watchmen, particularly the DC to be one of the best comic book movies and its in my all time top 5 CBM's. MOS was my best this year and I dont even know if it would make my top 10, for me, 2013 has been worse than 2009 in that regard.

Though the quality of the movies in 2013 has been more consistant, so this year and 2009 are about the same to me.

Fair enough, if everyone in the world had the same feelings on everything, the world would be a boring place, we all have our opinions .
