Dude isn't magic.
But he is one of the best pass catching Tight-Ends of all time and it isn't up to a ref to doubt his athletic ability, if you watch the replay he has no chance to even attempt to finish his route due to Luke hugging him.

If you look at the play Gronk was turning around and coming back to the ball…his defender wraps him up and takes him out of the play

Kansas City is Fool's Gold. Let's not get carried away, their defense is not great or the best in the league. They are doing this against some of the league's worst teams...offensives that are handicapped or simply not that good.

Also, Alex Smith is not a aggressive QB; so yeah, pretty obvious he's a game manager; and like many have said, will never be much successful in a shootout or come from behind from a big deficit. That's just not who he is. He throws the safe pass and is not a rhythm passer, whom throws to a spot for the WR to catch in stride. Won't make many, but light it up either.

good game, but glad its over. i want to care for the patriots but then i realize that they are still 7-3 and, aside from the broncos, they will mot likely sweep the rest of their schedule so they will most definitely make a playoff appearance. we still have the saints twice, a roller-coaster jets, and the dolphins who we have yet to beat, so i am going to enjoy this win.

I agree it's holding but Gronk couldn't have possibly outmuscled both Kuechly and Lester for a reception. Thus the ref picked up the flag. Gronk basically had no shot with two ballhawks in that region.

With the ruling explained, I agree with it. Even without Kuechly there, Lester was still way in front of Gronk to make the interception anyway.

If the flag was never thrown, there would have been no controversy to begin with.

By the rulebook, and using their judgement, I think the officials did well throughout the entire process.

We'll never know. He's an exceptional athlete maybe he does make that play. Too bad really.

Is it wrong as a fan that I was like 'Oh thank god, they picked up the flag. Oh, we got away with one, oh yea'

I mean...Karma is a ***** after all.

I'm also good luck. 6 game winning streak, when I only watch/listen to like half of the game. I got the magic

Realistically, the odds of Gronk hauling in that reception were immensely low. Kuechly is an exceptional athlete himself and was in great position to make a play on the ball himself. Lester sniffed out the play too. Thus why jumped in front of Gronk's supposed route.

Considering how much bad luck we've endured these past two seasons, we're long overdue for some good luck.

It's more of the NFL's baffling rules enforcement. Sometimes they'll call a player for an infraction nowhere near the ball because "that's the rule", then other times, they'll say the infraction didn't effect the play.

I really don't think Gronk would have made it. Even unguarded, the pass *seemed* to hit before he could have even made a momentum change.

The funny part was seeing Brady screaming at one of the refs, directly in his ear, (which I can understand) but in the post-game presser he said, "I really didn't say anything to him."

There were two men there. Both bumped into Gronk. Only one person was holding and he wasn't the one who caught the ball. Lester was playing the ball.

It should have been called because it was so blatant a bear hug. Not because he could have made a play other than stopping the interception.

Don't see the controversy. There is no way he would catch that ball. It was an awful pass by Brady. If the defender did not hold Gronokowski, he would not have caught it. Panthers won fair and square, time to get over it Boston, your precious Brady screwed up

Now that it has been 24 hours, I can say this. It happens. That's officiating in general. This isn't Inaccurate Reception/Fail Mary level BS.

One more thing. Thank God it wasn't my team who lost because of that.

No! NO! OH. GOD. NO.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/11/nfl-...im-tebow-diss/

Quote:
…Daopoulos said Miles should have stood by his initial call rather than being talked into picking up the flag, especially if the pass being uncatchable factored into the conversation.

“We as officials have always been taught, for a ball to be uncatchable, it has to be clearly out of the field of play or it has to be a kind of — I probably shouldn’t say this — a Tim Tebow-type pass that lands 15 yards in front of you,” Daopoulus said.
Even Booker T is dazed and confused in his gif in the article.
