I like it as well. Problem is that she might not be wearing the jacket all the time, which makes the whole costume work for me. I think just give her sleeves like in the upcoming JLW film.

It suffers from the same problems the New 52 does. "Put some leather pants on her and everything will be alright" mentality that just doesn't work. Can we actually think about her and her representation please?

Have you seen the one without the jacket? With or without it still looks cool.

I actually like everything about this except the pants. They look far to plain to me.

I also wonder if they are going to go new 52 with Superman's suit and have it materialize with nanites instead of him wearing the costume under his suit.

I wonder that as well. I almost want to see it just to see how it would be done. I think it may sound cooler than it could possibly look on film.

Besides the fact that it's yet another Jim Lee overly/randomly segmented/lined/padded design?

And the fact that it's clearly just a leftover design concept from the pre-New 52 Wonder Woman revamp attempt?

It's just not that visually interesting, or relevant to the character.

I don't know who decided Wonder Woman should be wearing all silver instead of silver and gold or mostly gold, but while it does separate her from other characters somewhat on the comics page, it doesn't look nearly as good overall.

The tiara is too small/thin. The "W" is too small, so it looks even MORE like a swimsuit and less like a bustier/armor. Basically since everything is so thin, it makes her look less imposing a figure, and the overall effect is more someone trying to make a fashion statement than an Amazon warrior. Less iconic visual.

The "choker" is just redundant and pointless. We get it. W's. Very clever.

The dark blue boots over dark blue pants just looks bad together. The red boots look much better. That dark shade of blue simply doesn't suit her. If they're going that route, they might as well make it black. Red and black would probably look better than red and that shade of blue.

Okay... I can see that...I guess. I'm assuming you want something that looks like it's from antiquity and this just looks too...regular?

*shrugs* IMO, the only features visually interesting from her old costume are the tiara, the bands and the lasso...and maybe the choker. Though I'd go for earrings instead.

A little bit of both.

It doesn't look iconic enough, and at the same time, I want something that honors the classic design while presenting something relevant to the character, her history and her own mythology.

I don't think this one does enough of that.

Imagine if in MAN OF STEEL, Superman's S-shield had silver in it instead of gold, and he wore blue boots. That's the kind of change to the iconic look I'm talking about. It just doesn't work nearly as well as the original design.

In terms of her iconic look, I think the long dark hair, the silver and gold, the bracelets/gauntlets, the tiara, the solid looking bustier with W/eagle design, the red torso, the blue beneath it, some kind of "star" motif, and the lasso and the red boots are musts for any design.

You have a point. The aesthetics of the old design have been perfected in some ways. Yet, most of the designs with the pants still incorporate the aspects familiar to the old costume. The only thing negotiable are the stars.

She really doesn't. Take away the jacket and give her boots and she looks fine.

If anything, the top of that outfit looks the most "amazonesque" with all the detail.

Don't agree. The bustier has that peculiar Jim Lee thing of lots of inexplicable lines that serve no practical or aesthetic purpose.

The leggings are all wrong culturally for the character, and pull too far away from her iconic core, in my opinion. The trunks or skirt are interchangeable, but black leggings just belong on someone else. Maybe she crashed over at Catwoman's and borrowed some clothes? Who knows.

Yes, because Catwoman is the only person who wears black pants.
