If everyone she speaks to knows her name, they're likely to use her name. That's why Alfred doesn't call Bruce Batman, he just refers to it as an alter ego.
I can understand why Bruce would call her Selina. But even something as simple as having her name be "Catwoman" in the newspaper headline instead of "The Cat" would have been an appreciated touch. It was like they were going out of their way NOT to say her comic book name even where it would have worked fine in context.

^ Really the press calling her "catwoman" would be a nice way to both appeal to realism and the comics. The changes for Catwoman seem more like change for the sake of change, TBH.

Carmine referred to him as Scarecrow at least once.

Gordon referred to Harvey as "Harvey Two-Face" upon request.

I don't recall Selina ever being referred to as "Catwoman" in a similar manner, nor were there any references to that name.

Yeah, that's why I was confused why they never called her so. They made a big deal about her being Catwoman, but never call her that. Imagine a Batman film without anyone calling him Batman.

Superman was only called that once in MOS, it didn't really affect it at all.

Superman was new on the scene though. Catwoman was longer around.

I still think it was odd that they didn't give her a cowl. She probably left hair strands all over the damn city.

I thought that fact sucked, so whatever.

Yeah, in all the want to be "real" I was surprised they had her hair that way too. Though, part of me thinks it was his inner child and nostalgia of the Adam West show and their version of Catwoman's suit that let it happen.

I just thought it was out of place. And illogical. And I don't think it really meshed with her desire to start over and put the past behind her. Leaving your DNA everywhere you go makes that pretty difficult.

Well, I for one am an advocate of having Superman be referred to as "Hope" throughout this entire series.

That would be realistic, wouldn't it? Captain Hope. Hopeman? Capeman, Blueboy... The Destroyer. Kryptoman! Hmmm, how about:

"Snap-Man the Neckbreaker"?

Which is a nice design and full of sexy fun, but misses the tone of the rest of the Nolan movies by a mile.

I think it would be interesting if they used the cloaking suit from Superman Unchained at one point. It would give him a realistic chance against Superman.

Hah, gotta love it. I could just hear Superman fans thinking, "Right. Of course it does. Because....Batman....sigh...".

I don't think that Nolan has one of those.

from the Federation of American Scientists: Urban Camouflage

NOTE: The article does not suggest that gray is "better" than all-black; what the FAS test proves is that gray is as reasonable as black in the context of any 'realistic' argument for the batsuit.

Eh. Pass. Especially if it looks the way it does in the comics.
