Same group that did the MIB toon, right? It's interesting in that it's actually still a better take on what they were going for in the GINO film, yet also kind of gave off a vibe similar to the Hanna Barbara toon as well. It was not great by any means, but I kind of dug the monster designs of the creature of the week. At least at the time it was on it was trying to do more than just bite off Bruce Timm.

To catch Zilla, we must lure him with a ridiculous amount of fish and I will buy a disposable camera to record the moment

Yeah I'm on a little bit of a hating the 98 film haha.

A big reason I went to see Hobbit tonight was to see the Godzilla trailer on the big screen and see the audience reaction. Never have I been so disappointed...never played!

^Bummer, brother/sister. That's why I have never gone to a film just to check out a trailer. Films are too damn expensive these days to do that to my eyes.

Godzilla movies got very campy after a while

I really hope the married couple aren't estranged.

To me that was the most annoying aspect of 30 Days of Night. It seemed they came up with a contrived reason to make the main couple estranged, and they never addressed it at all.

^ I mentioned that they could be goofy but charming, and yet Godzilla was still a badass hero/anti-hero/giant lizard. Gamera? Sorry, I am of the opinion that they are goofy films... that are goofy. That's just my take.

Welcome to every non us living resident's world.
I cant stress enough how much it sucks that we never get to see trailers early on with movies.
For example here in Holland i'm confident i'll be seeing the first tear of Zilla somewhere in March

So, some people see the trailer before the Hobbit and others don't. I want to establish whether or not there is a pattern.

For those that have already gone to the Hobbit:

What type of showing did you go to? 2D/3D/48fps/IMAX?
What country are you in?
Did they show the Godzilla trailer?

Funny how intense and awesome the shot in the Godzilla trailer is, but it's really nowhere near as good in the Cap trailer.

Well talk about unfair. Since they're different films, once can reason each scene serves a different purpose in their own contexts, and is consistent with the tone of their own films.

The Godzilla cartoon was actually accurate in that sometimes Godzilla is viewed as a good guy.

Not sure I agree, considering I've seen the longer (albeit unfinished) shot of Cap completing his dive and infiltrating the tanker.

Well I was only just comparing the shots within the trailers themselves and their impact for me. This is all of course considering I haven't yet had the opportunity to see the full films yet I wouldn't be able to fairly judge the extent of the full scenes.
