What type of showing did you go to? 2D/3D/48fps/IMAX?
What country are you in?
Did they show the Godzilla trailer?

forgive my ignorance, but how will the lack of an advanced missile strike against Godzilla be explained in a movie gunning for realism? though we do see a missile being loaded in the trailer, i'm assuming it doesn't work for some reason. or does this have something to do with the Mutos?

Yes. This is incredibly accurate. The Hulk also has no limit to his strength, so there's noting Godzilla could possibly do to him too, because he'll just get madder.

Who said that there wouldn't be?

There's also the matter of nuking your own country being not the easiest decision.

Killing something that was created by a nuke with a nuke might not be the best course of action. Unless it's REALLY powerful.

You have? Was it a lackluster scene or something?

You know what's creepy? Elizabeth Olsen and ATJ are husband and wife with a child in Godzilla and they're going to be brother and sister in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron...

Elizabeth is quite awesome and lovely indeed.

That trailer was great, more footage than I was expecting. Other than Hobbit part 3 probably my most anticipated movie next year.

Was this show in 3D?
