Not always:
cue pics of superman owning people, including batman.

I hope we get the wonder that comes with a cape, though krypton being a cape culture I doubt it.

You use that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Just because a super-powered godlike character happens to be a dude doesn't mean that he should be a feminist punching bag.

Now if he got mind-controlled and was beating chicks left and right, then yeah, WW should teach him a lesson. But as he is, that's wholly unnecessary and overboard.

Common, being hit by Wonder Woman at first will be cool for the situation (I'm talking about 1 or 2 hits and Superman then deflecting some punches or defending himself to the punches) cause you know she's a combat expertise and that would make Superman learn from her.

Actually I believe this is very misleading. I mean, sure, Marvel is doing that. But where is their female superhero film?

Yeah, beating on men, especially a good man that has avoided fighting for most of his life, doesn't make for a feminist situation. Superman is a defender of women. He doesn't deserve beatings for no reason.

It depends on the reason. If they're gonna show her beating on him just because it's "cool," that sucks.

Throwing the male characters under the bus in favor of WW isn't cool.

But there's a simple fix. Just give her an action scene that makes sense and isn't just to make her look cool. Let her take on a bad guy/girl.

As funny as the comment is, I agree with you. At the end of the day Guardians can be looked at as another big budget sci-fi/space adventure type of film with a white male lead. Because of that fact, such a film has a greater chance of happening than one with a female and/or minority actor as the lead.

Added to that is the fact that Marvel is a puny studio, the greatest asset of which is a stable of characters with inbuilt fan bases. Of course they will crap out an adaptation of every licence they hold. What is the alternative?

Exactly. And many of those crapped out adaptations are quite mediocre.

It would be more of an ironic breaking the fourth wall kind of moment.

They could only use the same two characters recycled over and over again in a loop until the audience finally calls them out and so they make a very thrown together production of one of their properties like WB/DC did.

I still have no faith in them. MOS while great was not enough to earn it back. With them...I hope for the best, but expect the worse.

Have you not been alive for the last twenty years?

When it comes to superhero films they seem to fixate on those two for whatever reason.
