No, the GA wouldn't care if it's a "coincidence" as long as the movie is good and they're enjoying it. In fact, the thought might not even cross their minds at all. People give the GA far too little credit.

Good to see people getting behind Gal and her role as Wonder Woman. Sure beats the initial hysterical reactions when she was announced. She looks fine already but can't wait to see how she looks after training. I hope she gets a decent portion of the runtime.

Me too.

I don't get people thinking that Magic can't be connected with science and tech. The Kryptonians are practically God like, with their biology and tech.

Also, wouldn't fictional gods offend theists?

The Amazons were the ancient Kryptonians that descended from the ancient scout ship. This can make Wonder Woman fit in Man of Steels world.

I hope the article is correct.
The only surviving Kryptonian was Supergirl. The only way for the Amazon race to be descended from her is if she had lots of babies with the cavemen that were around 18,000 years ago. You really think Supergirl had sex with cavemen?

I only got behind her after I read that Titbit I posted here. Reading that actually gave me some optimism for the movie

kryptonians are artificially birth from that aquarium tech thing. Did you watch Man of Steel? They can control the sex of the population with that thing. That gives the amazons the power to have an all female race

The GA will except anything. Some were saying the same thing about super powers and aliens in the Marvel universe after Iron Man. People have such short memories.

The tech was never used on earth. Kara abandoned her ship exactly as it was for 18,000 years. Didn't you read the MoS prequel comic?

The Mos Prequel Comic. No, I never read it, but I am sure that Comic can be forgotten if the director wants to. Did you know that Gotham Knight was originally a prequel for the Dark Knight? No one took it seriously.

Not only is having everything fantastic about the DCU spring from Krypton both boring and reductive, it is also an irritating contrivance which is liable to raise more "wtf?" issues than it solves.

Can't we just have things be what they are?

David Goyer and Zack Snyder wrote the prequel comic. It is very much intended to be canon. You're idea is silly. Why do you want these movies to be boring?

I disagree with this. Actually having the way they are is prone to making more "wtf" issues. I like the originality of what the tidbit was predicting.
I find it more interesting and it made me more intrigue. However, that is just me.

Actually, I was going to tell you the same thing. Lack of originality is kind of boring in my opinion. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I am going to read this comic before I comment on it any further.

The other crew members were murdered by Dev-Em. Kara then stabbed him with a red Sunstone. This removed his powers and he likely died in the crash. Also near the end we see some primitve people had made drawings of the crash in their shelter. Included in the drawing was the El symbol. It was Kara .

This. Changing WW's origins like that is the biggest

That's a horrible change. To accept this change, you have to not care for the Wonder Woman character.

It's not originality. It just reduces Wonder Woman to a Superman supporting character. Magic is awesome. There are so many great magic based characters in DC. They can't all be turned into aliens. Realism is so boring, especially when comics thrive on absurdity and beautiful, beautiful madness. MoS was absurd as well by the way and took itself completely seriously. Just like a modern comic book. It's great.

I read the comic.

The comic books doesn't prove that the theory from the Tidbit is busted.

No offence.

It would be disrespectful to WW's character. WW cannot have her own mythology that's independent of any other hero, somehow it MUST be connected to Superman in the Kryptonians, no it doesn't. You don't see people arguing that Batman's parents should be murdered by an exiled Kryptonian criminal.

How? Even if they descended from Krypton, 18000 years is enough time for the Amazons to to develop and have their own identity. No Human civilization is close to being that old.

This does not Make Wonder Woman a supporting character of Superman, and it does not reduce her character.
