I usually joke about popular fan castings, but Michael B Jordan would actually make for an interesting Stewart, unless he's too young.

I think they were lamenting on the fact that the same 3-4 black actors get brought up for every black role.

That's just because they are the one's that hit it big. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and other big white stars get a lot of film roles that could have gone to other white people as well.

Plus they have been around for at least 2 decades. We need younger black actors in Hollywood. I'm not saying the older ones need to bow out but we need some younger ones to pick up where they left off, Will, Denzel, Morgan etc can't play all the roles forever.

I still don't see the comedy. Both are highly respected and skilled actors, with oscars. Just like Russell Crowe or Kevin costner for instance.

Or Marlon Brando for that matter.

If we don't get casting or any kind of news of some sort soon I'm going to hang myself.

I feel like making him into MM would be an unnecessary retcon. All the explanations I've heard for why he didn't lend a hand during the invasion sound farfetched and contrived.

Joking of course, but the lack of news is making me crazy. Hoping we getting something within the next week. Perhaps a gift from WB to kick off the new year?

Well my explanation which was on a thread about whether or not he could be Martian Manhunter that was on here a while back was that General Swanwick couldn't go and help Clark was that the armed forces needed their General to coordinate and lead them at a time like that and it would be a dick move just up and go.

I would be 100% okay with the General actually being MM. Despite what others have to say I think it would work.

I think they could probably explain it fairly well if they wanted to, it'd be pretty good casting for the role.

Isn't that too obvious of a twist since many of us have brought it up? Don't get me wrong, he'd be great in the role of MM.

Agreed. That should be a no-brainer for WB.

eh, not really, we've thought of basically everything... except Affleck as Bats but I digress.

I'll also say that the obvious route isn't always a bad thing, sometimes something's obvious for a good reason.

Eh. That's actually better than most, but I still don't think it quite holds up. He wouldn't be abandoning them to go and have a snack; he would be helping Superman save the world from Zod in a way that only he could. His direct intervention could have saved countless lives. You could argue that holding back and just letting that stuff happen is the bigger dick move.

well, MM can be a bit of a turd sometimes, he's also prone to occasionally bizarre decision-making.
