Default Extremis should have been Wonderman

Anyone else feel like they should have scrapped Extremis and just made Wonderman? Think about it, the extremis subjects were just men made to have unstable superpowers- similar to wonderman, and given how far they strayed from source material why not?

Everything is Wonderful was essentially about Simon Williams seeking revenge on Tony Stark and turning to AIM for help doing so. They make him a super villain, but at the price of his freedom, and ultimately his life. They should have just scrapped Killian, cast Guy Pierce as Wonderman, made the Mandarin the founder of AIM, and boom you've made fans happy while setting up a future Avenger. Anyone else ever think of this?

Wouldn't mind seeing Wonder Man in the movies, for me he's one of the few true Avengers who we haven't seen yet or know that's coming.
