Sorry if you're touched by my opinion, but I think Dark Knight and X2 tells about more mature aspects than just fighting this guy vs other guy. I would prefer to see sequence how Cap find himself in new reality, 2000+ world, that would be more interesting for me.
Except that you did write that:

Which was silly. And not even remotely close to true.

It's fine that you prefer other kinds of comic book films. But you need to do so in a way that respects the people who enjoy the films you don't like as well.

It all boils down to taste.I believe there Is difference between humor and turning
It into comedy. That was my biggest problem with Iron Man 3 as well as
earth parts of Thor films.

Comic Book films can reach people of all ages.

Back In 1990's those working on X-Men comics said X-Men's fans ages range from 8 to 48.It's true with all.

Agree, If I don't like Green Lantern, I don't watch it.
And I didn't write I don't like Avengers comic and Avengers movie, but what I prefer, what's more interesting for me.
And about movie rating, do you judge before watching?
I like or doesn't like after watching the movie.

Except what you're saying is factually wrong. Avengers was a four quadrant monster. There were reports of old ladies coming back for repeat views.

You don't get to $1.5b off the backs of "teenagers and immature fanboys".

That's been my reasoning too, for adding Storm's head-dress. Keeping long hair from flying in her face when she's whipping up a tempest. And it could also be a communication device for keeping in touch with the others on the ground when she is airborne.

The arguments in favour of Storm's head-dress are even stronger than for Wanda's wimpole (as Scarlet Witch doesn't whip up tempests and doesn't fly high in the sky out of earshot of the rest of the team).

No one's asking for Storm to have those thigh-high hooker boots she wears in the comics, but the head-dress would be good. Won't happen with Halle in DoFP though, as she has short spiky do.

I think a lot of people went along to find out what the fuss was about. Whether they liked it is another matter.

I know two people in my office who went to see Avengers on the second or third weekend, after hearing all the hullabaloo, and they didn't like it at all. They still contributed to its box office though.

And old ladies weren't main in watching Avengers. For example I didn't see even one old lady at Avengers. And in last year, I saw older audience at The Wolverine than at Ironman 3 or Thor 2, where teenagers laughed at all gags, whatever someone said or Darcy did.

He still said teenagers and immature fanboys. That's an insult right there. He could have simply stated his opinion without having to say any of that. Like what I've said before and heck even danoyse, it's fine to have a preferrence. Just don't put down another film to justify that preferrence and insult others in the process.

I think Marvel movies IMHO are more universally palatable. Nothing wrong with that. But I enjoy and can relate better to X-Men's darker underlying themes as a gay man. I especially loved X1&2 for that. Whereas Marvel movies are more concerned with spectacle and entertainment value - and there's nothing wrong with that.

I can't wait for DOFP guys. So hyped for it!!! If it's anything like X-2, then we're in for a treat.Thank fully I get to see this at a private screening before anybody else, not sure if I'll be able to say or share anything with you guys though. They might make me sign them papers and I might be under embargo. Still excited though.

I have my ways. I have a friend who works at the theatre. He hooks me up with private screenings all the time especially the Critcis screenings. So I should be watching this like 2 weeks or a week before it opens in theatres everywhere. If I'm lucky, I might even see it before that. So I get to see all the movies I want before they open in theatres and sometimes I don't even have to pay for anything even drinks and popcorn.

And that was still a silly comment. I'm not a teenager. Haven't been for a long time. My circle of friends and co-workers are well into their 30s and 40s, and they loved the Avengers. I saw it 4 times, and the audiences were just about every age range. Plenty of women, plenty of kids, plenty of adults. It had a much wider appeal than "teenagers and immature fanboys", because if you think that's the only audience the can appreciate that movie, you clearly were not paying attention. The same goes for the rest of the Marvel movies.

This is the part you don't seem to get. Like whatever you want to like. But don't categorize the people who like films you don't, especially when it comes off as an insult and you clearly have no idea what you're taking about.

I would think that if Scarlet Witch has a costume, it will be some combination of her ULTIMATE and X-MEN EVOLUTION looks.
