Yeah and the Coulson wipes the floor with Ward and he gets back in line

Hehe, I like ward though. This show is so much fun.

Eh, I dont think he looks like a chump really. I man he had to have known that putting this team together, for whatever his reasons for hand picking them were, that their inexperience would come into play somewhere down the line. So at the current moment with a member incapacitated, he looks bad, but when the true potential of the team shows through he'll look like a genius for assembling this ragtag group.

It's (The Skye situation) definitely a good situation for the team to further grow with.

On second thought, it's too bad Skye didn't shoot herself with the gun.

But I get that it causes unconsciousness + paralysis -- so do anesthetics. They say you shouldn't try to move an injured person, right? I know it's maybe not the best idea IRL, but it just felt like something that would fly on a primetime superpower TV show.

Anyway, I still think that the n2 gun will end up being the key to unlocking Skye's power. If she has one; the vague "powers or something" line sounded like a classic misdirect.

As it arguably did, for example, when they rescued him from Raina.

(Or when they rescued him from that Peruvian military lady by blowing a whole in the side of the bus.)

See I don't see that being Coulson's fault. The team was made comms went down, Skye and Fitz made their own choice to follow. They could have easily stayed on the train after Simmons got knocked out.

So, you guys think Cybertek is at all linked to Roxxon?
Seems like it is written as an independent cybernetics company from the way the show wrote them.

Right. Maybe a team organized with the top tier talent some seem to want so much wouldn't have executed those situations the same way this group of "rookies" did.

Of course we could never get an answer to that, but based on the way Hand responded to Coulsons kidnapping, it's reasonable to believe a team of equal minded "pros" on her level would have been okay with Couldon being left for dead as well.

I enjoy the team we have, I like seeing them all growing in their roles and finding footing outside of their comfort levels. I believe Coulson picked these specific people for a reason we haven't discovered yet, or if anything, because he saw the potential in those chosen and wanted to help them reach that. Seemingly he had his pick of the SHIELD litter, so if he picked these people, I assume there was an ultimate purpose behind that.

I enjoy seeing the inexperience of the team, they're learning on the job, both about the job and themselves. The characters are growing and becoming better as the show progresses. I know a lot of people seem to look for or focus on the 'bad' but I approach every episode with a blank slate, I personally haven't had a problem with anything we've been given, I don't notice things like weak writing or get caught up in disliking a way a certain character is portrayed. I feel that adds to my enjoyment in the show rather than letting those things people bring up dilute my enjoyment as it seems to do to some.

I was one of those who had hoped Deathlok would be in full costume. I guess if it's an origin though, we'll have a running joke and see him lose one limb at a time until he's fully outfitted. Unless of course SHIELD have to stop him and he gets further blown up and presumed dead, and then he's fully rebuilt as the comic character.

Didn't think Quinn would shoot twice, but I guess the Skye's the limit.

It's interesting symbolism to note that "lok" in German means train, and that most of the episode was set on board a train. Is Mike Peterson some kind of death train? Well certainly the train was a death train - a lok carrying the Lok technology.

A Lok runs on steam though. A Zug, like the train on TRACKS on electricty. And I really don't see Mike Peterson being powered by a steam engine.

Well he looked like he was letting off some steam after all that pent up anger.

So, my mom lost interest in Agents of Shield. She enjoys the Marvel Movies. Thor, Iron Man and Avengers mostly. She's watching Arrow every week. But she's done with Shield.

Honestly, I thought this episode really served as an answer to all of the folks who've been complaining that Skye is incompetent and unqualified. She really handled herself well in this episode. Things only went off the rails for her when she came across Mike, and honestly it doesn't seem super unreasonable to me that such a thing rattled her.

I thought that might be interesting and an indication of how the general audience views AOS. She's just a casual Fan, and I provide all the Episodes and Movies for her. And she enjoys most of them. She even really likes that Sci-fi show Almost Human. But AOS didn't manage to hold her interest.

Show her this last episode, see if it wins her back over.

Actually, that's not a very good indicator. Lot's of people probably have similar stories about friends and family that may or may not watch the show whose experience is different than yours. For example, I have two very close friends that are as general audience as one can get, and yet they watch the show on a regular basis. They know that I like Arrow as well and I've tried to recommend it. They love SHIELD but refuse to watch Arrow at all.

I don't think he's under control, per se. He's just brainwashed by means of threats, torture, demoralization, and constant observation. He can't fight back because fighting back just means pain ( and the last time he tried to be a hero, it went so well ).
