Eisenberg as Luthor.

Irons as Alfred.

Discuss.

Irons is a good choice. I won't say that Eisenberg isn't, but damn, that is about as random as you get. Could go either way. He's a solid actor.

Irons is a solid choice. Eisenberg is something out of left field but I think we could get an interesting portrayal of Luthor. Less alpha male, pinnacle of human genius but more of a wunderkind/Steve Jobs as a super villain type of role. Too bad I have little interest in it to begin with since Snyder and Goyer are involve. Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to make some popcorn and watch the internet tear itself apart.

I really don't care about Irons as Alfred one way or the other. He's British, he's a fine actor, no brainer.

Now Eisenburg as Luthor....I don't know. I have a feeling this could be awesome. It feels like they're going for the super genius businessman angle. This could totally be a Ledger as Joker casting. Completely outta nowhere and he just completely nails it.

You know what? I hope he doesn't even shave his head. Oh yeah, I went there.

But he should at least have red hair.

Yeah, that's how I want my Luthor. Smartest guy in the room, and is a complete dick about it.

That said, Kanye West probably woulda been a better choice.

I woke up in the afternoon shocked. Then... I don't know. I can see it. Truly. I can see a Technocratic Genius Billionaire whose public face is one of Bill Gates styled benevolence, but behind closed doors is a ruthless shark.

I think tiny little Eisinberg will look odd opposite Cavil, but maybe that's the point? Smartest, richest man in the world, in about 5 foot 6 and weighs 115, soaking wet vs. Cavil's muscles.

Lex had hair through most of the Adventures of Lois & Clark, didn't he? I think that's the only time an on screen Lex has had hair, at least that I can remember.

Going into the Eisenberg as Lex thread earlier and for some reason it's just pages and pages about race changing comic book characters. Umm... Aren't both Jesse and Lex white? What is there to even be arguing about?

Don't go into movie specific boards.

I feel like Warners are basically trying to fill the movie with Heath Ledger style left field choices. That'll either work gloriously for them or blow up in their face.

I am waiting for the WB press release where they say that it's all been a mistake and that Jesse is Alfred and Irons is Lex.

I think people are judging this on a surface level. On a character level do I thing Jesse has the goods to give us a 9th Level ruthless genius that is so filled with arrogance and disdain for another person that just tries to help people that he just comes off as borderline insane? Yeah. I do. Sue me. (note: I have little to no money or assets so suing me would be a losing cause anyway.)

Do you guys remember that Playboy TV program called Sex Court? It was during the height of the courtroom talk shows. The judge was in some bdsm apparel of some sort, had big black wavy hair and the nicest, hugest knockers.

Simpler times, man.

I am just thinking of simpler knockers now.

PS: Was that Julie Strain?
