It's a potential plothole. People will ask why she didn't use her abilities to rewrite events during previous movies, such as Jean's 'death' in X2, Xavier's death in X3, Jean's second death in X3. Surely they will have to say she only recently discovered her power was capable of doing this. I wonder if they will address it.
I only skimmed the other pages, so I don't know if someone replied to this-- but the time travel seems a lot more complicated than just "Kitty can send people back in time." There appears to be a lot of physical stress on the person being sent back, enough to kill anyone without a healing factor, and the process might even require other mutant powers. There's probably even more to it that we don't know yet.

Explained pretty well here.

Not a fan of either of the two new posters, but at least the Magneto one makes sense conceptually.

Then again, most superhero movie posters and banners are weak these days.

It's a good thing that posters don't actually matter than, isn't it?

It's a shame, because posters can be an art form in themselves-- but so many are just these terrible collages. Bunch of crap thrown together without much thought put into it.

And damn, I just realized how much I've missed over the past couple of days. Catching up on some of these behind-the-scenes clips, even though I'm trying to avoid spoilers. Can't always help it, I guess.

I think they're going to explain it along the lines as 'Time is like a solid object, and she's able to focus her power and phase the mind through time, just as how she phases people through things when she holds them." I think that makes more sense to me.

Well it makes more sense than having Xavier telepathically send his mind back in time.

Yeah, that sounds like a logical enough extension to her powers, especially when you consider the way other characters' abilities have evolved. The stuff Iceman can do in the comics is pretty insane, and it goes so far beyond his initial power level. Who says her phasing abilities have to be limited to passing through objects?

What is wrong with the Mystique and Wolverine poster conceptually? Mystique's actions cause the apocalyptic future and Wolverine has come back to stop her. They are in opposition of each other.

Isn't Iceman an Omega level mutant though? I don't think Kitty has been labeled that, none the less I'm interested in how they explain her power now.

Mystique does play a big part in this particular story line.

I dont believe they made him Omega in the movie yet, I think they will give an explanation thats a big boost and different from her comic power but they may not address it at all.

He is Omega level, but he rarely uses his powers to their full potential.

Pu**y.

Didn't emma use his powers in a way he didn't know he could use them?

^Literally that is the gist of what Emma called him when she "pushed" him to advance his powers.

I remember a comic panel where he was sobbing when as Emma looks at him and starts yelling at him to stop being a wimp. lol

I guess anyone can be an omega level mutant these days.

Yes, the "omega" title is somewhat stupid, but there are only a handful of people who are classified as such. Jean, Iceman, Elixir, Franklin Richards, Legion, a couple others. And I believe it's not the most powerful mutants or abilities - but those who's powers almost have no limits.

Yeah pretty much, they don't use the term in the movies, lol I'm still wonder where they got class 3, and 5 level mutants term from.

I live for your comments, lol eventhough you were just stating something that happened in the comics.

It was probably their lazy way to address mutants as Omega, i thought that class thing was pretty stupid.

It was unless they can't legally use the omega term, but I don't think that's likely.
