You guys are the ones that sound ridiculous. Do I need to be a chef to know what kind of food I like? Do I have to be a medical license to be able to say whether or not she looks deformed in the poster? The whole "let me see u do it ur self m8" argument gets on my nerves.

The only way you'd acknowledge its a poorly done poster is if she had an extra limb... actually, I think some of you would defend it still just to go against the grain

PEOPLE GET PAID MONEY TO DO THIS. THEY SHOULD DO A HALFWAY DECENT JOB. It is an INSULT to REAL artists that crap like this gets okayed because Marvel is lazy when it comes to posters
You should use a more recent image for comparison. She went through some physical changes between 2012 and 2014 - losing some weight, getting a nose job, a breast reduction, etc.

Waist is still trimmed down (mostly, if not entirely, due to lighting), but nowhere near as bad and to the extent you're suggesting.

Just saying.
Its objectively anatomically incorrect. That is a fact. Anatomically incorrect doesn't always mean terrible. Looney Toons isn't anatomically correct. But is this Looney Toons? No. This is a poster for a live action movie and it is far from the actual product. Therefore, it is as objectively awful as something can be objectively awful.

Basically nothing, it's just a poster. It's no supposed to be her floating or anything etc.

You should do a good search on "small waists".

That interview was great. Chris has definitely become more comfortable with the press. He's also taken ownership of the character to an extent, in his desire to be a good role model and protect not only his image but Cap's image in the films. It's really refreshing when an actor becomes that invested in a superhero film, as opposed to maintaining that distance that so many seem to feel is necessary when acting in genre films.

Chris made some interesting comments about the evolution of Cap's fighting style, as well as his strength level in TWS and going forward. From what he said, Steve Rogers is going to be portrayed as somewhat stronger than he was before, more capable of doing damage to his opponents. Chris also said that he would like to see Cap get even stronger in AOU, just to be able to hang with the other heroes. All of that meshes with the implied strength level of Mike Peterson vis-a-vis Captain America. Chris mentioned the fights being more grisly because Cap is more dangerous now. I'll be happy see that, to be honest.

Quote:
Evans: I love it. [laughs] And I don’t like video games. And I love it because I love the way Cap moves, he moves so well and he just beats ass. [laughs] It’s like, that’s how this guy needs to be moving. This isn’t just the guy who’s been given the ability of speed and power, he’s been training. He’s been put through… he’s got the frame of mind to absorb this information, so you can only assume with training and his ability, the guy should really be dangerous. And we should show that. It’s not just, “Take Jason Bourne and make him” you know. If Jason Bourne can do it, Cap should be flying through these things. So we had a bit of fun turning up his power, turning up his speed. So the fights are a lot more grisly and impactful, and in my opinion, cooler.

... I just don't get it, she's looks perfectly normal to me in the poster. The lighting off the left side along with the midsection turned a bit from the legs makes the torso look a bit slimmer than it is, it's clearly photoshopped down a bit, but its not as insanely drastic as some are making it seem. The body there is very similar to her body in those filming pictures, put tighter clothes on her and she'd look about the same, at least to me.

(But I'm done on this topic lol)

They can have it on the cheap! Doesn't even have to be cash, I'll take a set visit, small cameo, Kevin Feige can verbally abuse me in a crowded restaurant on camera, whatevs!

Except plenty of people ARE denying it. Oops! Be sure and grab a parachute before you chase your theory out the window.

Also, less anger please. And less cherry-picking photos to support your point, Shikamaru called you out on that one and rightfully so.

Even if some doubt had begun creeping into my own thoughts on this issue, a respected poster signing off on it is good enough for me to consider it the non-issue it is.

A side by side comparison might help you.

They're on top of each other. That's the worst side-by-side comparison I have ever seen.

Open both pictures in a new tab. Then go back and forth so you can see the difference. Her neck literally grows half a foot and her waist shrinks down 3 sizes.

Sorry, my schedule is pretty full and I don't have much personal time to waste chasing after your little petty imaginary crusade.

Maybe you should write your congressman to express your deep and profound rage?

Christ, I was joking (altho I am on a desktop and they aren't side by side)

But comparing them I still don't see a problem. Boo hoo, they slimmed her waist incrementally. And yet life goes on.
