I meant that there was no monster on monster crime in the trailers.

They are building up Godzilla to be the "villain".

Another ranking? Ok:
1. X2 (10/10)
2. FC (9/10)
3. X1 (8.5/10)
4. TW (8/10)
5. X3 (7.5/10) - I have no problem with Cyclops, Jean, Xavier death, heroes have to die too, and they did in comic. I knew they will back, it's X-Men world.
6. OW (6/10)

Rankers gonna rank.

1. X2 (10/10)
2. X1 (8,5/10)
The Wolverine (8,5/10)
First Class (8,5/10)
5. X3 The Last Stand (6/10)
6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (5/10)

Seems I can't decide about the second place. Might vary a little from day to day. X2 was a perfect movie for me back then. So damn well done in many ways. It's still hard for me to get bored or find something really wrong with it, and I've seen it many many times. X1 might get some nostalgia points here, but it's still pretty good time watching it.

Consensus seems to be that FC and X2 are the most appreciated. No wonder DOFP has gotten many people excited on this board. (is it "has gotten" or "has got"? I want to learn)

Too difficult for me to rank them, to be honest. I'd spend too much time thinking about that rather than enjoying the movies.

X2 is quite probably the slickest and most consistent (despite the Wolverine focus and a few oddities in the third act).

The advantage of being walking distance from a cinema and having an unlimited pass. Me and the mrs go all the time, it's cool cause there's a lot of great films I wouldn't likely see if I had to buy them on DVD.

The latest Godzilla and Transformers trailers have been rated. Here's hoping Days of Future Past isn't too far behind. Hopefully, next week?

Hmm lets see...

X2 (9.5/10) the heavy focus on wolverine keeps it (and the series) from being perfect and the film still holds up well almost 11 years later (although they should really put out an edited Blu-ray so that we cant see Nightcrawler before he teleports to get the children).

XM:FC (9/10) I really enjoyed it but the lack of popular mutants (Cyke, Jean, Storm) and the sometimes not so special effects/make up (beast, Mystique) keep it from perfection.

TW (7/10) I liked it but it falls short in the third act. The scenes with Jean were excellent.

X1/TLS (6/10) X1 tells a better story but lacks in spectacle and is definitely a dated film. TLS tells a mediocre story but has big effects and spectacle. Both are passable and if I was rewarding nostalgia points X1 would be a (7.5).

XO:W (2/10) Singer spent two movies building up to this Wolverine tell all film and he should have been the one to see it through production. TLS is at least a passable film but this mess is like a big pot of gumbo with ingredients that don't compliment each other very well.

Origins was to busy playing it safe while also deperately trying to lay dozens of eggs for spin offs

What do you mean by this unlimited pass?

Well from where I live, I have to wait like 35 years (when I turn 60) to get an unlimited pass/free admission to movies. Anyway, its cool when cities offer that to older citizens.

Haha YES! I love how this is like the most nitpicky thing I've ever heard but I feel exactly the same way.

Cineworld in the UK offers a subscription based "Unlimited Pass". You pay monthly and go as often as you like. It's not free (lol I wish) but still cool as hell, and really changes how you go to the cinema cause you feel inclined to go as often as you can to get your moneys worth.

Will definitely be seeing DOFP multiple times once it's out

I can always see a film twice, primarily because even I watched Origins the first time and thought it was great because I was so excited. Watched it again and wanted my money back.

I didn't think someone else had the same rankings as me. More so the fact that I can't choose between X-men, The Wolverine, and First Class.

Maybe not the same scores. There were a lot of things I hated about FC (bad make-up, bad acting, bad dialogue) and The Wolverine (just plain boring).

I was just watching the Avengers and then started thinking about how it would be Amazing if DOFP could hit 1 billion. I know its most likely not going to happen but think if it did actually manage to make that much money, then Avengers 2 makes another Billion in 2015 and then Boom Apocalypse gets FOX's largest ever budget and makes another Billion in 2016... I mean my mind is going crazy right now at the possibility of X-Men (the original of the new age of CBM's) rivaling the game changer of the CBM's. This is a good time to be a comic book movie fan. Imagine what it will be like in another 50 years...
