I wouldn't mind the belt being thicker and the yellow being a bit more vibrant.

Adding Undies is a drastic change so of course that isn't going to happen. The costume designer clearly said tweaks. Why do people blow that word out of proportion? If a drastic change were going to be made to the suit the costume designer would have said so.

You'd think that after all the times that we've gotten Snyder to say that Undies wouldn't work within today's society, that people would have given up the idea/hope that we'll see them applied to Batman's new look as well.

I just think people are flat out living in lala land if they believe that Batman is going to be wearing underwear over his tights. Just because the costume is not going to look like Bale's doesn't mean that it's suddenly going to be 100% comicbook accurate.

Geez, I wasn't saying that they would. I think you're blowing my comment out of proportion.

I wasn't trying to bite your head off I just get annoyed when I see people misinterpreting the word "tweaks" when every Superhero costume gets tweaks for a sequel or follow up. It almost never means hugely noticable changes and a lot of people seem to panic anyway.

If you say you weren't saying what I thought you were, fine I accept that I misinterpreted your post and apologize.

This is what I want the MOS 2 Superman suit to look like.

No problem; it's easy to misinterpret what people mean on here. Yeah, I don't expect the tweaks to be anything really noticeable.

It's a lot like how after Superman in the comics started to resemble Christopher Reeve after the Donner/Lester movies (though Reeve in turn already looked like Superman transferred directly from the comic book page).

I believe John Byrne consciously based his version of Superman on Reeve's likeness:

I don't think Byrne's rendition of the character had much to do with Reeve. His male protagonists in comics often shared the same facial structure, as seen here:

Sadly, the suit already looked good in more natural light.

It's interesting when you look at how the movie and comic supermen tend to look alike throughout the ages. It makes you wonder whether comics start the trend first or the movies do in each era.

I feel that Henry looks so much like the Byrne/Jurgens Superman myself.

He does. I think he looks like Lee's and Rocafort's Supes too.

True, but to me he's always looked so similar to Lee's Superman more than anyone else's. I think maybe because they both have such distinctive bone structure and jawlines, it really looks like he based his Supes on Henners...

See, that's the Cav-El jawline, right there!

I can't remember the artist's name but he made and effort to make the characters look like the Donner movie characters...It was when Geoff Johns and Richard Donner was writing the comics (yes director Richard Donner wrote Superman comics)

Frank did the artwork. I liked that Donner actually WROTE comics.

I feel like RD was one of the few true fans making movies.

There are quite a few...Michael Uslan is another.

I think it came about because Geoff Johns was an assistant on Superman The movie.
