That sounds kind of annoying to have to do. I didn't have to do that for my Wii, Wii U, PS3 or blu-ray player when I streamed Netflix.

You weren't streaming Netflix from your computer to your console though, you were using an app within the console.

Ah, I see. You sort of inserted that at the tail end of the Netflix conversation so I assumed that's what you meant.

MS testing lowered digital pricing by making Ryse $40 digital this month. If they can do that for the entire marketplace, I will absolutely switch just to show support. I can live without resale, which I frequently take advantage of, to help support digital pricing this significant.

Why because they are having a weekly sale? Good for them I guess but it was available at that price at retail on day one and in the following weeks going into the new year. Making a statement about lowering the price of a 2 month old game doesnt seem like a big deal. It would be if they came and released a brand new title for $40 to launch, which I dont see them doing

I said if they can get this kind of deal for the whole marketplace. As it is now, yes, it's just a sale. But if they can make a $20 difference for all games at launch, that's a step forward I would actively support.

They are making Ryse $20 off because I'm sure sales have dried up. I doubt this is any indication that they want to make titles discounted at launch.

I would love to know how many digital copies of these games they sell at $60. I really want to go digital and the X1 is totally designed for that. They're doing something wrong when the Kinect is compulsory but digital isn't dominant over physical. Pricing it the same as hard copies is just thick. People would be raving about the X1 a lot more if everything they owned on it was digital but even those who fully want to go this route like me are blocked by a brainless pricing policy (& poorly thought out hard drive policy).

Lots of pessimists up in here. Well here's to hoping it is a sign of things to come because it's something I would get behind.

They've stated they were looking into making games cheaper on the digital front, long before they discounted Ryse. But it's kind of a situation of I'll believe it when I see it. Meaning when they sell a game like Titanfall or Halo for cheaper, on day one, then I'll bite and really consider digital.

I only do digital. I have a great paying job so I don't need to resell them. It's a shame there isn't boxes anymore but I still love digital

I want to go fully digital. Microsoft wants me to go fully digital. They just forgot to price the games at the expected discount and didn't think of a hard drive solution. What they've proposed so far is fine for those who don't buy games often. For those who buy hundreds it's useless. Real shame as the X1 would be unbelievable if you had all your media.. games, films, TV shows & music on there and could access anything with a voice command.

I noticed on the 360 that they are getting better with Day 1 Digital. Do we know if South Park: The Stick Of Truth will get a Day 1 Digital release on the 360 ?

Yea reselling them has never been an issue iv had with digital, it more has to do with storage space. I think I might start going digital tho. I plan to get Ground Zeros digitally and I might, might get Titanfall digitally. Not sure yet.

Man Metal Gear Rising was a 2 hour game(4 if you reallllllly took ur time) and they charged 60. GZ looks to be much much better than that game and it's 40.

This is this Ryse thing an actual permanent drop, or a sale? Because if it's just a sale, I don't see any reason to expect this to be a sign of anything. Sales happen all the time on the XBLA, PSN, and eShop?
