The only issues with the Avengers suit that were pretty universal was the cowl, how plain the back side of the suit was, the zippers and perhaps that it was too slimming compared to the WWII.I sure do not remember any noise regarding the colors of anything.

So they're just going to give up on trying to make the cowl work?

Kay.

I'll wait to see a decent picture of this suit, but I'm not that impressed. It looks like they took the least "Captain America" aspects of his Winter Soldier suit and kept them, and then added the helmet from WWII instead of just trying to make the cowl work right.

Haven't seen WINTER SOLDIER yet, and I'm sure it has something to do with honoring his origins or going back to his roots or whatever, but it doesn't look as good as the cowl could.

Honest question, I'm not trying to start anything. But is there any example anywhere where someone has pulled off a "cowl". Like a traditional superhero cowl the way its drawn. Without referencing batman or the new flash, because those are clearly sculpted rubber, and imo, that look wouldn't fit in this world.

Whether it be in film or a real world application of some kind. Because I just don't think a cowl, in the way we view them would work. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I sort of agree with you, but looking at the suit a little closer, there seems to be a lot of red highlights. They seemed to keep the red stripes on the pants from TWS suit, and it seems to blend with the red from the stripes on the ab region, and go up even further to the collar. And theres some red underneath those shoulder pads.

The cowl concepts they tried using in TA just look off since they create a weird headshape and the function of a cloth cowl over a helmet doesn't make much sense anymore.

Nite Owl in WATCHMEN.

It's not like the half-cowl Cap is sporting doesn't look sculpted, rubber or otherwise.

I don't even mind if it's a helmet VS a cowl, as long as it's a full helmet with the classic visual. Evens probably isn't going to have it on for most of the movie anyway.

A2 Cap suit looks really good.

I haven't disliked any of the Cap suits so far.

Even the Avengers suit was good, though I thought the cowl could have been better.

Niteowl II's costume was one of the best ever. Even when he didn't have the goggles on it looked great.

Watchmen's costume and production design was a triumph for the comic book movie genre.

Do you think we'll see a moment like this in the film?

Really against what, Cap wielding Mjolnir?

Personally I think the only other person who should be able to lift Mjolnir should be Beta Ray Bill if they ever introduce him.

While I don't think we will see Cap wielding Mjolnir, I do hope we get to hear the battle cry.

Well the hammer says anyone who's worthy should be able to lift it. Cap is worthy. That doesn't mean it ever actually has to occur in live action but I do think he should be able to lift it.

If he lifts mjolnir it could be a passing gag. In the midst of battle Cap picks it up, oblivious of the enchantment, and hands it to a bewildered Thor.

Ya, let's rob Thor of a moment and one of the things that makes him unique by having Cap lift the hammer in the air (with lightening bolts and all) and yell Avengers Assemble. Makes complete sense.

How many times is this question going to be asked?

I don't know how many times it's been asked, I've only started frequenting the Age of Ultron boards relatively recently and haven't seen it asked in the time I've been here. I thought it was a fun question.

And I wasn't talking about a literal translation of the picture, with the lightning and all, it was just the best visual representation of Cap lifting Mjolnir I could find. I was mainly just talking about the general idea of Captain America being able to lift Mjolnir in the film. I'm not particularly attached to the notion or will feel like anything's missing if it doesn't happen, I just thought it could make for a cool moment.

Being here while watching the start of TFA has taken me back to the, "Hydra are Nazi's! vs. Not Nazi's!", circular battles we had to endure.

Guess it didn't really matter in the end did it.

Personally, I don't want to see it for the same reason I don't want to see Thor running around fighting with Cap's shield or Black Widow piloting an Iron Man armor. There's only going to be so many movies with these characters and I just don't find the value in blending something like that.

Theoretically based on who Cap is and his values, he should be able to lift it. I guess I'd find it acceptable for him to pass it to Thor in a nod to the fans ..... but I don't want to see him raising it in a moment like that comic or fighting with it.

Loving the suit I definitely prefer the helmet over the cowl

I fail to see how anyone can make out what this suit actually looks like. In all honesty, it looks nearly identical to the WWII costume. Need some better shots, but all this excitement over a few obscured images with little detail boggles my mind.

Is it the new cap's suit or fan made? cause it's really good and the best so far.

That's definitely a mod of the SHIELD suit from TWS based on what we've seen of the set pics.

Looks great as far as I'm concerned. I imagine that it's pretty close to what it's going to be. That royal blue is just so much better than any shade of blue we've seen in the outfits.
