he was the choice of quite a few here. i took to calling him darkwing duck at one point.

i supposed it's easier said than done, but i think wb would have a much easier time if they'd do for other actors what they did for affleck. same with a ww Bigelow/Ellison/Lawrence triumvirate.

leo dicaprio's appian way is supposed to be producing aquaman, and though I've never thought of it before, he'd make a good aquaman.

with the rock and js gl, those are some heavy hitters.

channing would be better off as guy gardner. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau looks more like gambit to me.

I'm surprised marvel hasn't approached Gosling yet.

I like Gosling, but I think getting him for a CBM is about as likely as getting Joaquin Phoenix for Lex. Both seem into the Indie scene.

Dude it is very possible that what you're talking about could happen. Gosling's directorial debut comes out this year and guess who's distributing it? Warner Bros...WB also distributed the two most recent Affleck's films..

We all know how they like to keep their talent in house...I'd say if Gosling ever does a superhero movie, he'll go to DC

He's never come off as a douche to me. He's able to infuse his characters with a lot of charm and heart. I think he can pull off a very grounded everyman.

Why do people still think the Rock is playing GL? He said himself that he isn't.

He comes off as a bully, fake, and a whiner. Everything Barry Allen isn't. And he's a bad actor to boot. I don't like the guy.

I used to think Tatum was a bad actor but he's improved as of late. I don't think he's a good fit for Barry, but he might work as another comic book character. Aquaman maybe?

I think it's because he didn't outright say "I'm not playing Green Lantern" but gave two vague and separate yet somewhat related statements.

Honestly, I'm really thinking he's gonna be playing Lobo. The John deceptive Stewart hashtag some time back reminded me of when Vin Diesel teased the Vision only to end up playing Groot.

i don't think he is either. I'm just saying it makes a whole lot of sense since he's captain save-a-franchise, he'd be ideal giving the shtting of the bed that happened with reynolds and such.

Channing Tatum as Barry Allen is one of the worst ideas I've read in a while!
He's too much of a pretty boy imo, and he really only excels in pure comedy roles...

Gosling isn't a pretty boy. He's an attractive guy but he has some ruggedness to him, Channing Tatum is too perfect looking imo. Gosling would be more believable as an average forensic scientist.

lol We should be so lucky if Channing were in this film universe.

He showed he can act in Magic Mike and showed his charm in 21 jump street.

Come on now really?

You complain about Tatum being too perfect looking for the role and then bring up Gosling. Both of them are pretty boys.

Don't care for either Channing Tatum or Ryan Gosling. Not sure who I would pick though. Maybe Chris Pine, though I think he would be a better Hal Jordan.
