Gary Shandling is ......

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
also a hydra member...... This sort of makes sense as he wanted Tony Stark to hand over his suit in ironman 2..... He may have been following orders from hydra.

2)So...shield is actually the American version of hydra......
3)Armin zola was the mastermind behind hydra.....
4)I heard "wolverine" being uttered when jesper sitwell was thrown down from the building by black widow....
5)And the biggest shocker of all time .... Jasper "****in" sitwell is hydra too..... . From having a small role in Thor & Avengers, He has a meaty role here.

Another thing mentioned with Strange, Banner and the kid from Iowa was a school teacher I think. Caught it on second watch but it's listed off quite quick and there's still 90 mins of film afterwards.

Excuse my ignorance, but why is a schoolteacher important?

It might shed light on the identity of the character.

Yeah, I'm not sure on the place they teach or are from, but if someone catches that it may reference someone from the comics.

Zola also calls Widow Natalya I think. Not sure if she's been called that before in the MCU.

Hmm... Jack Monroe is from Iowa, and he's connected to both Cap and William Burnside (rumored for Cap 3). As for a schoolteacher, there are actually a ton of Marvel characters that have been teachers. That could be referring to anyone from an Avengers Academy related character to Quasar. (There's been speculation that the Professor Vaughn mentioned in AoS is actually Wendell Vaughn, Quasar)

I think I caught a Hank Pym reference. Can't really remember the dialogue, but Widow is on the laptop hacking, with Steve watching over her shoulder. She talks a little about the guy who developed this program (again, forgotten... oops) she was using and said he was just a "little" smarter than she was. Not sure why, but my mind immediately jumped to Pym. Can anyone else recall that scene?

She says that someone "smarter than her" would be able to defeat the AI, then Steve says something, and she replies "only a little smarter". At least that's my recollection

The main problem I see with that one is that he's originally from a Spidey book. It was from well after Sony bought the rights, so maybe Marvel can use him. I'd still lean more towards psycho Bucky to go along with that psycho Cap we heard rumors about with Cap 3, though.

Chances are, I am probably wrong, but wasn't 't Ellis the president in IM3?

He was. It was the VP who was arrested for conspiring with AIM.
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Is there any mention of AIM being connected to Hydra in any way?

Hmm... In that case, I doubt it. Maybe it was a subtle reference, who knows.

Nope, looks like AIM (and perhaps Centipede) are seperate entities

A lot of people gasp when they saw the Avengers logo, and since most of the audience are not comic book fans, I think they didn't know that it was the Avengers Tower. :P

Yeah I was like "Oh no!" when the targeting system picked up someone in the Avengers (Stark) Tower.

Just recalled this: Tony's parents. Zola was talking about how Hydra has infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D and wiped out any potential characters who stand in their way, seemingly revealed Hydra is responsible for Starks' death. Felt so sad and sorry for Tony.

I hope that thread is expanded upon in the future. Would give Stark a personal stake with Hydra

Yeah, so I watched it again and I dunno if Sitwell did actually mention a schoolteacher. Maybe I imagined it or maybe he did and I'm going insane.

He definitely mentioned a news anchor from Cairo and maybe a valedictorian? I don't think we have those in England.

I heard that Michael Korvac was one of the people targeted by the Helicariers. Can anyone confirm/debunk this?
