I seriously don't understand (but respect) guys saying that WW with this outfit will be silly at side of Supes and Bats. It's iconic, it's not unfomfortable, she can fight with it. And she looks badass and as A SUPERHEROINE FROM THEMYSCIRA. I mean an ancient WARRIOR.

I mean. Really?????? WTF???

About the guys who said what's better if eagle or double w. I think, why don't we have both as in this?

She's carrying too much crap and there are some design flaws. But it can be fixed.

This is near perfect. She just needs to lose a couple weapons. This makes sense for her character.

I was refering only to the costume. I will take out helmet, the back weapon and the gaunlets.
The skirt is perfect.

I'm trying to remember what book and issue that was from. It's either from Rucka's run, or JLA: CONFIEDENTIAL.

Both are great WW moments for me. One is her fight against the Medusa. THE ACTUAL MEDUSA.

The other is her buying the JLA some time by taking on a division of the Chinese army, ALL BY HERSELF.

The design is fine in principle, but I would scale it back slightly away from military and towards civilian wear.

To those that still defend the classic costume, just consider this:

To be fair, Wonder Woman doesn't "classically" wear a G-string, nor, until recent years, has she made a habit of arching her back and thrusting out her cheeks like a pole dancer.

I think we can improve her costume beyond its "classic" template, but posts like the above slightly misrepresent what that costume was and how it used to be depicted.

She has been drawn like that for many years.

She has also not been drawn like that for many years. It depends who's doing the drawing.

That looks like it was drawn by Jim Lee. I hate how he draws her. He almost always draws her like a pin-up, even in recent times.

I don't think the swimsuit costume would work for live action, but that's totally a straw man that was presented.

Jim Lee doesn't seem to know how to draw females who don't have D cups and aren't provocative contortionists.

Edit: That's probably Micheal Turner (RIP), based on the HIGHLY angulated Supes on the left.

Turner had a similar style to Lee. I couldn't stand his art either.

agreed, that does look Turner-ish... his artwork is amazing though no matter the pose!

WW looks a bit more reasonably proportioned here actually...

Edit: Nevermind, it's Benes. Though Turner and Lee's art was also a bit pinupy as well. In Turner's defense, I think there's a strong stylistic influence that someone like Benes lacks.

Something tells me this design would be popular here:

Straps and battleskirt oh my!

There are a few of them that draw that way. I guess that's the point. That exaggerated, over-sexed art style is common and very annoying IMO. I'll take Chiang any day. Although DC needs to give people like him the choice to get rid of the panties if they want.

Good find on straightening that out... as I never recalled Turner being that pinuppy I was going to search that one out to confirm it was his. Turner's human forms may be a bit non-realistic proportions on the guys bone structures, but dang his stuff looks awesome in my book!

On board with some of this costume's details, but definitely lacks in the bracelets and shin area... plus would need to ditch the childhood proportions, but maybe that is supposed to be depicting her in childhood anyway as I'm not familiar with the source offhand.
