It works less then the swimsuit. Although I'm not sure if that's physically possible.

It's fine as is. I don't think I improved it, I just like the red to gold ratio to be equal to that manip. If Teagone shows a similar version, I'll gladly blush in shame

No, but she is an Amazon. And the Amazons are part of Greek Mythology. I'd like for one costume design that at least harkens back to ancient depictions of Greek heroes. But by all means, tell me how a swimsuit works better than a leather-ish curiass with a battle skirt, greaves, a shield, and spear.

Amazons can be whatever they want them to be.

And the swimsuit has one advantage over the hoplite, it's the classic costume of Wonder Woman. Hoplite armor is not, it's lose the classic aspect of the costume and add nothing.

That's not really an advantage. You're arguing to stick to something classic but at the same time you're suggesting that Amazons can be something that has no ties to the Greek Mythology despite that being a prevalent part of in the Wonder Woman Mythos? What? Honestly, changing Wonder Woman's costume to a battle skirt from a swimsuit is akin to removing the trunks from the Superman suit in Man of Steel.

Also:

Looks good to me.

No, it doesn't. And it adds a look that looks like it came from an ancient time and a place of tradition and looks like it has history and it's own story.

Seeing as how 90% of redesigns include it and most seem to be in favor for it(and has been used in comics) of say most are in agreement that it is a good way to go and does in fact, add something.

I'm not saying it should stick with the classic. I'm saying that between hoplite and classic the latter is better. Yet both are terrible.

Not really, I just don't like costumes that are the basic costume + a battleskirt. And unfortunately 97,34% of the costumes look like that.

Sorry, but the hoplite-ish armor makes sense on a number of levels and would translate better on film.

Most of them look like that because it makes sense though.

It's not the concept I don't like, it's the execution. It's ok to try to use ancient references in Wondie's costume, but not if the result is something that she could be wearing 2000 years ago rather than something she could wear today.

Wait, so you agree that a more hoplite inspired costume could work? The execution of fan-art or cosplay has no bearing on the concepts for translating the costume into live action, which is what I'm talking about. Are you talking about fan-art?

I'm taking about the costumes and art I see.

Let me put this way, Woman Woman can look like a hoplite as much as this guy looks like a roman legionnaire:

Oh. Well in that case, I'm confident the actual costume is going to look better than all the fan-art or cosplays you can critique.

And is that character model supposed to be a Roman soldier?
