It really is fantastic. I've always preferred the longer ears, but I guess I just had never seen the alternative, aside from Adam West that is

Am I the only one that sees what looks like lenses on the new bat suit? Right above the bottom of the mask's right eye hole, there's a lighter section that looks like it could be his lower eyelid, and above that a dark section runs across that looks like the edge of the lower lid beneath the open eye. But that dark section looks like it could actually be the edge of the 'eyebrow' which is part of the mask, above the eye hole. When I look at it that way the lighter section looks like it could be a lens covering the whole eye.

What do other people see in the eye area?

That too...but it also fired a grappling hook.

I actually do have one semi-complaint with the suit. With the cowl being so big and bulbous, it doesn't accentuate Affleck's strong jawline the way I thought it might just because it feels proportionally smaller to the bigger top. They probably could've went a tad wider with the mouth opening. Not a big deal at all and I'm used to that after the TDK suit, just seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

That's getting very nitpicky though.

That's more a product of real people's heads vs comic book drawings. That's simply what a cowl would look like on ANY guy with a decent jaw, so it's lucky Ben does have one. His jaw certainly looks better in the cowl than any previous actor's.

Could've been better with a few tweeks to the cowl though. A little top-heavy and the mouth opening isn't as wide was what they probably could've gotten away with. It's not something that bothers me at all, just seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to further distinguish it from previous cowls when I think about it.

It'll help to see him straight-on too though to get a better sense of the cowl overall. Overall I'm sure it'll look amazing on film.

So big and bulbous? Huh? Are we looking at the same photo?

Also, you do realize that because of the angle of this photo, we can't see the full jawline or accurately size-up his head, right? Still, I wouldn't characterize this cowl as big or bulbous at all.

I'm aware of that, but we can still clearly see where the mouth opening starts. And like I just said, seeing it from other angles will help get a better sense of it. It always matters how the suit is shot, that goes for any Bat-suit.

As for the cowl, that's how it looks to me. I'm not saying it looks grossly huge or anything, but it's a bit round/large up there. That's how it comes across in that shot, anyway. I don't believe I'm the first one to comment on that.

And again...I am fully aware that this is the height of nitpicking. I'm not trying to bring back "TEH PUFFY" or anything, haha.

My problem with the cowl is that it looks a bit stiff given how the material looks molded. The suit in its entirety looks decent especially the details ranging from cuts and the texture (though I still have my beef with the FatBat logo), not to mention, I'm already elated that we're getting the classic colours.

The long gauntlets are my favorite part of the design. It looks like they folded the cap back over his shoulder so I think it will drape down normally.

Need more picss

I don't see any lenses, just black makeup eyes.

Don't worry, i badly want the lenses too. I just don't understand how no one in hollywood cares about it since it's one of the defining features of Batman in ALL the non movie media (except Arkham games and even there they had lenses in detective vision). It's what gives him that air of mystery and makes him more creature than man to the criminals. In the movies, it's always been like, ok here's a guy wearing a mask and black eye makeup. Not batman-like at all. But if I know Zack Snyder, he'll make sure that the white eyes/lenses are there somewhere in the film. Maybe the batsuit will have the detective vision lenses drop down or maybe they'll be there in the possible armored suit. I just hope ZS delivers on this since it's one of the most important aspects of the suit.

Some people say the actor can't emote as well with lenses but thats nonsense. Ben Affleck did emote quite well with red lenses in Daredevil and with with today's technology we could have CGI eyes that change shape like in the cartoons.

As far as the eye area, I don't see...anything. Until we get a better angle and a color picture everything is speculation.
